Why did you choose this procedure over Lap Band, DS and Sleeve?

I wish I had had RNY first and not the VSG. I say that because I had GERD complications early on. But hindsight is 20/20. Each surgery is a tool in your arsenal. Depending on your needs and talking with your surgeon you should be able to figure out which one is for you. Education is paramount. VSG and RNY is great and DS is great for those that need it. I have not heard much great things about the lapband.

So you had VSG before RNY? or are you waiting to have RNY? I am hearing the same with the lapband, thinking that one is crossed off my short list.
