Good Morning, my friends! How was your Monday? I had a good one...a nice quiet day, but had just enough to do that it didn't get boring. Yay! Today should be busier--lot's of meetings, but at least they are all interesting :)

I decided yesterday that I am going to try to go back to my early quarantine routines. I had blocked out specific hours of my day to exercise, and practice Spanish, and other routines (cleaning, cooking, etc). I got complacent about following the clock when my work schedule got really insane, though, and I never went back to doing everything I wanted to accomplish. Back at it today--I even blocked the time off on my calendar and set alarms to remind me!

Speaking of practicing Spanish, this came up yesterday and I had to share with all of my super skinny friends :)

QOTD: What is your favorite pizza topping? My favorite is Pepperoni & Green Peppers. Grim gets his pizza without sauce (because its a vegetable...swear to god...) and he gets extra hamburger and extra cheese--so it is basically a plain cheeseburger on a pizza crust. He is so strange, haha.

Yesterday's I stuck to my menu, 100% and had a nice run in the morning. Hoping for a nice repeat today.

Good morning JB and menu crew! Hope everyone is doing well!

qotd - good Italian sausage with extra cheese or pepperoni if at a place I can't trust to have good sausage.

I have my cardio Pilates class and then a 2 class tonight -- very excited to do the two, three weeks in a row some of us "usual" attendees have birthdays so the trainer let us each design the class on our day. Today's birthday girl is really good at all the standing things so it will be a challenging class.

menu today is

peanut butter gf toast

everroast chicken with slice cheddar

yogurt

maybe a one egg omelette

have a fantastic day everyone!!

The birthday challenge idea is so cute!

Curious - do you have a brand of GF bread you like/recommend?

I like the canyon house cin raisin. It's probably not the best choice but when I put PB on it, I am full for so long that I think it balances out. I also like the mikey's grain free English muffins but they are softer/less toast like.

Good morning all! My Monday was busy as usual, but not too bad. Had to schedule a dental appointment for Thursday. One of my teeth has started hurting whenever I eat or drink something hot or cold which is pretty much everything as I don?t normally eat/drink anything at room temperature. I was just at the dentist in July and again last month for a filling. It?s not even the same tooth as the filling. I just know I hate going to the dentist.....love my dentist, just hate having anything done to my teeth. I?m wondering if it could be another cavity, although I?ve never had a cavity hurt like this and I?m sure they would have caught it last time I was there as they are very thorough. Anyway, I?ll be glad when it?s taken care of.

Had the worst dream last night. I was in this play and I had no clue what my lines were! Everyone else was walking around with their lines written down and practicing and I had nothing. All I knew was that I was supposed to sing a song, but had no clue what I was singing. First of all I can?t sing, secondly I had no clue what I was even supposed to be singing and third I have horrible anxiety or stage fright or whatever you want to call it so yeah I was a mess! Everytime I asked the director of the play what my lines were she just kept telling me over and over again to use my imagination. Like what the hell was that supposed to mean? Make up a song? Lol. I was so glad when I woke up!

QOTD: mushrooms for sure! I swear I?d be happy with just a pizza full of mushrooms!

B: coffee w/Splenda & sf creamer x 2

B2: protein shake

L: 2 oz low sodium turkey breast and a hard boiled egg

D: 4 oz baked salmon and veggies

S: L&F Greek yogurt and an apple

Forgot to mention my accountability for yesterday! It was pretty good, but I am up 2 pounds this morning. Ugh!!!

I hope the dentist takes care of that tooth quickly. I always use toothpaste for sensitive teeth now. I have also gone to the dentist with tooth pain that turned out to be caused by sinuses.

My husband was number 10 in a family of 13. His sisters were older than my mother. They were the sister-in-laws from hell. I had a dream recently where we were all in one of their homes and getting ready to go to church to attend a wedding. Then one of them told me that they did not want me at the wedding and I could stay at the house and wait for them to come back.

I was so mad and upset, then woke up and remembered that they all all dead now. It is strange how real a dream can feel.

I had that same issue last summer. It turns out I had a slight chip in one of my teeth, and when it chipped, it took out part of the filling that was there (my dentist replaced the filling). Or you could have just chipped it enough that the nerve is exposed (even if there was no filling there). Anyway, either of these could cause pain to come on suddenly...

I seriously need to add some discipline to my routine too ... I love getting up in the morning 2 exercise ... after that it falls off especially in the cleaning and work departments ... somehow my hunger for delicious food ensures I cook but that's not a chore its a pleasure.

Today is the first day I get to SWIM!!!! since I got back ( its a very-other day pleasure I share with my Parents who are amazing athletes in their late eighties ! ( and have not a single thing wrong with them as a result ) . We swim about an hour and 15 minutes together -my Dad actually swims a whole mile.

I love the results of swimming - its the only thing I know that helps with upper body excess skin- the bra overhang, the underarm flabbies , and upper tummy tummy-tuck-resistant rolls.

The scissor kick of the breast stroke also helps firm up knee jiggle and upper thigh jiggle, the side stroke firms the waist and arms all the way up both sides... and best of all the butterfly slowly pulls out your neck and shoulders like a turtle comes out of its shell- after a few days of swimming you'll notice your posture is THAT much more regal and upright ( which makes one look a lot thinner and better looking lol!)

Today I need to roll all the big pots outside if I can ( still can't sit down properly or bend down ) vacuum and mop the apartment, finish washing n folding the laundry and organize my second bedroom , now storage room into a working office so I can COMPLETE MY OH- SO- IMPORTANT DEADLINE !!!!

I am WAY too good at hiding from work lol...

B- Chai tea latte vitamins

L- Maybe roasting an heirloom squash and making pumpkin soup .. then pumpkin puree for a fat free cheesecake

D- Maybe fat free vegetable lasagna ( usually layered with 2 of spinach, broccoli , zucchini or air fried eggplant slices )

snacks- ice milk, perhaps raw peas , perhaps popcorn if I can go buy a kettle maker . Wont settle for air popped now that I've tasted that !

Favorite Pizza flavor - used to be everything until my Parents called it " Garbage Pizza" and insisted like the little Puritans they are on Margherita which is a very thin layer of sauce fresh thin tomato slices, thin fresh mozzarella slices and fresh basil baked very briefly in a coal fired ( ideally ) super-hot oven. ( I use a baking stone and 500 degrees but it doesn't have the slight smoky fresh bread flavor of coal fired )

In this ( ONE !!!) case in my ENTIRE life lol... they were Right ... Margherita pizza made well is to die for
