Happy Hump Day, Kids! How's it going? I had my usual mid-week terrible sleep. I finally decided to come downstairs and try sleeping on the couch which eventually worked. Yay!

Today should be a pretty chill day. Two 2 hour meetings where I get to just be a passive participant, and the rest of the time will be going cross-eyed looking at a ridiculously long spreadsheet. The good thing about that spreadsheet is that it's easy enough that I should be able do it while walking slowly on the treadmill.

QOTD: Have you started your holiday shopping, yet? I have been better than ever about starting early and last night I ordered most of the last few big things. Just a few people/items left to get! Now if I start wrapping early, that will be the biggest miracle :)

Food yesterday was perfect all day until I found that Halloween candy that I had hidden....whoops. I had another decent run in the morning that felt good at the time, but throughout the day my knee started bothering me again, so I might need to stick to a walk today. Or maybe I'll try those seated dips, haha??

Good morning JB and menu crew! Happy Humpday!! We're at the half way mark!! Happy Dance!

Quick post for me before I head into the office, have to be there early enough for my 6 am meeting....back to back calls from 6 am to 3:30 but I did wisely block out a lunch break so I might drive home then and at least be home when the day is over. Then I can immediately finish up the final episode of Unsolved Mysteries.....the new season dropped on Monday, making it to Wednesday before it's done seems reasonable, right?

QOTD - I have done some but struggling on what to get my nephews. I take everything with me to my sister''s when I go for Thanksgiving so have to get on the ball.

No exercise today - yesterdays two classes were intense so giving myself a break.

Things I've packed for the office

4 oz ever roast, slice cheddar

Chobani yogurt

rice crisps and laughing cow cheese

Pistachios

plus 2X coffee and half and half

Have a great middle of the week everyone!

I have a new podcast recommendation for you! Check out Canary from the Washington Post. It's super intense but I couldn't stop listening.

Oh, I just downloaded the first two episodes for my drive home. I have been catching up on the episodes of Vulgar History, which is a fun set.

I think you are really going to like it. It's about sexual assault so it isn't "light" but the reporting is so spot on. It's a very well crafted podcast so far. I can already hear Rebecca Lavoie gushing, in my head.

Good morning all! I think I got maybe 3 hours of sleep last night so needless to say I'm really dragging this morning. I'm hoping today won't be as hectic with work. Monday's are typically the worst, but yesterday actually beat Monday by far! Accountability was outstanding yesterday. I stuck to plan 100% which hardly never happens! Fingers crossed today is just as good!

B: coffee w/Splenda & sf creamer x 2

L: 2 oz low sodium turkey breast & a hard boiled egg

QOTD: not yet, but kind of have ideas of what I'm getting people. I really need to get started though because there is nothing worse than last minute frantic holiday shopping.

I heard that delivery times are expected to be terrible this year because no one is expected to be going out to shop in stores, so everything will be delivered on top of the pandemic deliveries. Yikes.

Morning all,

I've been working since 5-ish and so it's break time and time to get tea #2....

Yesterday was a reasonable but busy day until about 10:30-11:00. I was able to work for 5 hours and get some things "off my desk/desktop". But as the morning went on, it got really bad and I spent most of the rest of the day on the recliner with a heating pad and a towel over my head...frustrating, but I am glad that I got some decent work time in.

Again, not too bad this morning, but I plan to sign out by 10:30 or 11:00. For some reason, no matter how much sleep I had, mornings are a better time for me and then noon-ish things go downhill. Hard not to over do during those hours though since they are precious.

I did moderately well with my food decisions. There were 2 ginger snaps that happened and a few goldfish to settle my tum.

No exercise and very few steps around the house. I'd like to walk in our breezeway if I can.

Food plan for today:

B1: Double Bergamot Earl Grey w/ Miralax, Unjury Mighty Bites protein bar.

B2: Coffee Puer'eh tea w/ 4 oz of Carbmaster milk, 1 small clementine, 1 cup of berries

S: protein shake

L: either veg-bean soup or bean sprout & pickled carrots salad and some protein

S: ?

D: the opposite of L

Have a great day everyone!

Janet

MyQOTD: do you need to eat something before taking your pills/vitamins in the morning? Some of my pills/vitamins make me queasy without food in my tum. The morning meds are taken with my first cup of tea & the 100 cal protein bar. An hour or two later with my 2nd breakfast, I take my morning vitamins. My tum is much happier with this routine.

Janet,

I always need something in my tummy when I take my vitamins too. I take them 1/2 hour after I eat my breakfast.
