I used to, but not anymore. I had some stomach problems with them the first few months post-op (esp Thiamin), but I haven't in a long time. I usually take my morning vitamins in the middle of the night if I get up to go to the bathroom (which is most nights...). Then I take my pantaprozole (Protonix) when I get up for good, since I don't want to take it at the same time as my vitamins (it's a PPI, and I think some of those vits need a little acid to dissolve/absorb). On nights I don't get up, I just take the vits as soon as I get out of bed, and the pantaprazole about an hour later.

Since surgery my stomach is much less sensitive. I don't need to food with vitamins, antibiotics, iron although I very much did before.

Proferrin was the only vitamin that upset my stomach, but I have switched to a sublingual for Iron and it doesn't bother me at all anymore.

Hi Janet. I can actually take my vitamin and calcium on an empty stomach. Not the same story for my iron/Vitamin C. I actually take them to bed with me and take them right before my head hits the pillow. The make me super nauseous if I take them any other way.

I always take my vits right before I eat.

My trainers wife is coaching me this week and man she is TOUGH. 30 min HIT with crossfit style flipping tires, etc. I was dying yesterday but it will be worth it. my body is rebelling..

I am gutted to cancel Thanksgiving--it's such an important holiday in our family, but it has to happen. I am not even sure if I will invite my parents. I might, but my mom needs to get better about staying in before I see her again--she's always masked and careful but she does so much shopping and eating out and socializing. I have had to have "the talk" with her a few times, lol. But really--I don't want your second hand germs, TYVM!

I finally slept like the dead after two sleepless nights. I often have insomnia when I travel but it was horrible in Myrtle Beach - barely an hour. So now I'm having a tough time waking up fully. I'm a bit cranky.

We took a carriage tour in Charleston yesterday, but the guy stunk. No history but lots of self-advertising for his book. I had been here previously and it was much better. Today it is on to Hilton Head to meet up with friends who have a place there.

QOTD: No shopping done but I never do until around Thanksgiving and I mostly online shop. I am at a loss as to what I will get for Mike though!

Might want to start your online shopping early this year--deliveries are supposed to be super slammed since everyone will be out of malls and almost exclusively shopping online!
