800 calories a day worked fine for me the first year post-WLS, but I couldn't keep that up for very long at this point - maybe a few days tops. We're the same height - my last PCP said 140-160 was a good range for me (normal BMI for me (and us) tops out at 154, but I'm 60 years old, so up to 10 lbs or so overweight is OK with some physicians). I've kind of given up on ever being in the 130s again, but as long as I can stay under 160, I'm good. I'd like to be back under 150 again if at all possible.

I need to lose about 36 pounds more to get to 160. I suppose slow and steady... I really gained a lot- not this past year- but the 2 years prior. had to bust my butt not to gain as much this past year...

I had also given up on ever being back under any reasonable number...I hit 186 last year. I am currently at 131, and I do not calorie count. I found that intermittent fasting has helped me get everything under control. I have to preface this with the fact that I am 11 years out from surgery, and I am fanatical about getting my vitamins, calories and protein in. And, I do this eating a vegan diet. My labs are great, and I do all of the above with the blessing of my surgeon's office. I wish I had found IF years ago. It would have saved me decades of dieting and heartache.

Let it begin with me.

I think I may give IF another shot. I do eat in the morning, but to be honest, I'm rarely hungry then. I could easily wait until 11:00 or noon to eat...

WTG on the loss. That is impressive. We all know how hard it is.

Your fridge looks awesome! The one here in Florida is pretty empty so no need to organize and my "personal chef" (aka DS) in Massachusetts wouldn't abide by any organization rules, so I wouldn't even attempt it.

Another hot and muggy day today - seems to be the norm this fall in Florida unlike most years. Not much on the agenda other than walking and a grocery store trip. And maybe a trip to Michael's to get a couple of new frames.

QOTD: Personal chef who would cook all my meals to be tasty and healthy (unlike DS who only cooks what he wants to cook more or less and only periodically).

TSS: 4 years, 7 months

B: Coffee!!! Light French toast or WW banana egg pancake

L: Deli chicken - I might try making it into a chicken salad up with a WW recipe

D: Steak and veggies

S: cheesecake/strawberry yogurt pie

For the last 5 days, it has rained just hard enough so that I can't find a windshield wiper setting that works. Either squeaking and smearing or rain accumulating so that I can't see.

today is raining hard enough so that I can use the wipers continually, so I've got that going for me.

I grew up when wipers were either on or off. There is an excellent movie, Flash of Genius< about the person who invented intermittent wipers and the battle with Ford Motor Company when they used his idea without compensating or giving him credit for it.

I think the rain is finally done? Looks like the weather should be great for a while starting tomorrow. I will be on the West Coast starting Sunday until 11/22. Let me know if you want to meet up. I haven't been to Venice yet this year so wouldn't mind going up there.
