I have kidney issues so cannot take most of the pills. There are wonderful new medicines out there and they are working well for most people. As time goes on, even better treatments will be developed. I believe someday diabetes will be something that they will fix with a vaccine or implant.

Welcome back! I remember you from early on, I definitely have found that tbr menu thread and the support of the vets and new people here has helped me stay on track and always give me new tips and tricks to help. I hope you will find it useful too!

Hey! Yes I remember you too, I am glad you are still around and still going strong, though I always knew you'd be a success, you just had that kind of attitude about you :)

I'm back too. I had my surgery in 2007 and have now gained back 50 pounds from my comfortable weight. I haven't been in to see my team of doctors in 5 years. All of my weight gain has come in the last 2 years, seemingly 20 lbs at a time. I need to get back on track! I have an appointment with my Dr in January. Immediate goal...don't gain any more before the appointment!

Welcome back Haley and LBR !!

I think I remember you from the lightweights board Haley ! I love your large eared fox pic ! ( Do you actually have one of those ? they're super cool)

I personally think its easier to stay on track food and exercise wise by posting daily and learning from others posts too. Theres a lot less self-argument regarding doing the " right" thing when you see others living a healthy lifestyle day after day .

Its also cool to see posters doing well year after year and their positive life changes.

Its AMAZING sometimes how many new things people can do after daily overeating and health issues are solved - new beautiful homes, travel to amazing places , great new relationships or strengthened ones .. creative careers and/or new hobbies.
