Morning everyone! I just slept until 5am! This might now sound exciting and ground breaking to anyone else, but it's the latest I have slept in ages! Whoo!

Yesterday was a great day. Work was productive, and then I logged off early to see Dolly. She was incredible as always :) Then when I finished, Grim walked in the door with a small chocolate cake that said "Yay" on it and he told me that they closed on his house! SOLD!...for way above the asking price, too. "Yay" indeed--phew.

QOTD: Do you like something that other people think is weird or gross (food or otherwise)? Yesterday at a meeting they asked us what our favorite comfort food is, and I said plain pancakes with just butter, no syrup. Apparently I was the freak of the group because I got more flack than the person who said Pig's Feet, lol. I didn't know that pancakes without syrup was super-weird!

Ok my accountability yesterday was just awful. As previously mentioned, there was celebratory cake. I had a tiny, skinny slice, but uuuugggghhhh the RH was so real afterwards. We both felt terrible and vowed to throw the rest out. There was also take-out Chinese but I only had a few bites before I felt queasy again and put down the fork. I put it on my menu again tonight but I might not really have it. I don't know why my stomach is so sensitive this week. I also haven't exercised (or really even moved) since Sunday. I need to get my s**t together!

hi all

well- today was weigh in day which was after thanksgiving and I was worried due to all the stuffing and sweet potatoes and some episodes of eating more than I should. BUT I actually lost weight! I'm officially 5 pounds down since oct 1. It happening VERRRRY slow now 5 years out on Dec 15... I'm pretty shocked so apparently my loss rate is .6 a week.

QOTD: oh I eat 'weird' food according to my family. zuchinni pasta, sweet potato brownies, tofu. My fav comfort food is probably a waffle with pecans at waffle house with peanut butter added.

food plan today: have to go to lady doctor this morning so eating may be a little off and lighter in the morning.

b: coffee with premier x2-x3 lol

b2:

l: shrimp DH bought me

l2:

d: we are going out to dinner at a social distanced restaurant. There will be meat involved and veggies and they make a sugar free cake that I will sometimes get. its a homestyle buffet that went pick and choose when covid hit. you wear your mask, sit down, check what you want on paper menu, hand to server and they go get it. limited interaction. they have all the normal southern food, fried chicken, biscuits, kraut and weinies, mac, beef and mac, well you get it.

Awesome scale victory! My loss is going about the same. I'm a little further out than you, but I pretty consistently lose about the same amount a week as you when I am staying on track. But you are proof that slow and steady works :) Great job!

Good Morning!

I have my 9 week post op follow up this morning with the nurse & dietitian.. should be interesting to see what they have to say. I have today off - and I'm also getting my hair done.. feel like it's good timing as I'm sure my area is headed into lockdown soon.

I'm with you - I enjoy pancakes with just butter no syrup.. but I think this stems from 10 years of diabetes and staying away from sugar.. the simple sweetness of the pancakes with a touch of salt from the butter is pure heaven! I don't think there is anything else that I'd say is weird that I like..

B: 1/2 English muffin, 1 egg, 1 slice light Swiss cheese

S: 1c decaf coffee, 1c fairlife milk, 1tbsp sf mocha syrup

L: 2 slices deli Turkey, 1 slice light Swiss (rolled up together)

S: L&F yogurt (have any of you tried the lime, watermelon, cucumber?.. yum)

D: Taco Chicken Meatballs

S: tbd

It cracks me up that you dread payday. Everyone else looks forward to it, but I guess if you work in payroll it's busy time.
