Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope that you're all doing ok. At least holding your own!

We are going to finish taking down the Christmas stuff outside. Everything else is put up. Yay! Will be glad to get it done.

It's going to be a busy week for me. 4 appointments and a funeral.

QOTD: what skill would you like to master?

For me would be metal smithing. I would so love that! Maybe some day!

Happy Sunday!

we put away all our Christmas decorations yesterday - the house looks a bit empty but I'm sure we will get used to it.

QOTD: I'd like to master crochet. I have been crocheting since I was 15 (yikes almost 15 years lol) but there are still rookie mistakes I make. I'm currently working on two Afghans. One is just a half double crochet back loop only in a self striping chunky yarn.. and the second is my 2021 project of a temperature Afghan - each temp range has a colour, and I take the temp when I wake up & that's the colour for the row of the day.

S: Greek yogurt ranch dip w cauliflower & LF cheese stick

E: did 10 minutes of yoga and 10 minutes of abs already - going to take the pup for a long walk this afternoon.

Mornin' All!

it snowed again last night. And it's cold. I just want to stay in. DH wants to do something with his mother today, though, but I guess I can stay home if I'm not up for it. Although she could always come to our house, too. He's thinking take out Chinese food for dinner with her, but I can't do it. I'm trying to battle the holiday weight gain. Although my eating has improved, this is a bear to get off - as it always is! Hopefully they'll have the festivities over at her place, so I can eat my own food here. Nothing else on the agenda for today...I'm looking forward to the next week or two when things start to rev up again.

QOTD: either speaking another language or playing an instrument. My brother plays a bunch of stringed instruments (he builds them, too) and he's got a bunch of musician friends who get together and "jam" pretty frequently (although not so much now given the pandemic). It's so fun when they get together when I'm visiting him (in NC). They usually do bluegrass, folk, or "old-time" mountain music (a style of folk that's the pre-cursor of bluegrass), and once in awhile a trombone player friend joins them. Never thought I'd hear bluegrass...or any other kind of folk music...played on a trombone before! Anyway, that would be so much fun! I once thought about getting a ukulele since they're supposedly easy to learn and there are a bunch of ukulele groups in town, but I still haven't done it..

AS: half an Aldi's egg/cheese pita or a protein pumpkin muffin

D: half an Aldi's Asian veggie burger on 1/2 a slim bun, small sweet potato, and a "supermix" salad (broccoli, cabbage, kale, and carrots) with light Asian dressing

good morning! I'm on day 4 of a 5 and 1/2 day weekend and not quite sure what to do with myself. Clean the house for sure. The two extra dogs went home yesterday, so we need to dust and vacuum and clean bathrooms and floors. So excited. Not.

I did really well yesterday. 2 mile walk with the dog, 8 mile bike ride. Good food choices all day. Not enough protein though. Maybe that's why the scale is up today? Or maybe it's all the muscle I've built in 4 days of recommitting to exercise? A girl can wish...

QoTD: new language. Still playing around with the though of buying Babbel, or one of those. I'm just not sure how to commit the time to them. Can I do them in the car while driving?

Menu:

B: protein cereal, 1/3 c non fat milk

L: leftover chicken and roasted onions

D: bulgogi and califlower "fried" rice

I had no snacks yesterday, so I'd like to try again today for that. I did however, have a glass of wine at lunch.
