Hello everyone!

I am new to the group and I am 13 years post-op. I would like some advice on what vitamins I should be taking. Haven't been all that good about taking vitamins but for the past 7 or 8 months I found out that I am anemic and my iron level is severely low.

I have tried to take iron but it gives me constipation very much.

Thanks for your help!

Hi

I would get a full blood panel if you have not already. Some post RNY's have to have iron infusions, mine about every 5 years.

You can always use Miralax for constipation but I am with Liz go back and do blood work so you have a place to start from. I use Bariatric advantage multi vitamine with iron but it may be two little to late you may need infusions.
