What's on your Wednesday menu?

That book freaked me out, I think mostly because the character Arnie started taking on another persona, like the 50's greaser. Stephen King gets so much of it right.

Good memory! Looking at Wikipedia, Christine was published in 1983, so while it would have been one of the first, I'm not sure now. One book and similar short story were about a fog descending on a grocery store in Maine and I always liked reading that because I had been in that supermarket numerous times staying at a friend's cottage.

The Mist was such a good novella! So, so, so creepy.

Stephen King is seriously my jam. Even the not so famous ones like "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" and "Lissy's Story" really just struck a chord with me. It is my life's goal to have all of his books, short stories novels, etc. but...well.. LOL

I just read they are making Lissy's story into a Streaming series, maybe Apple?

I never had any rules around what I could/couldn't read...the same parents that wouldn't let me watch Grease (I still don't understand why) had no issues with my reading Pet Sematary at a young age......it was before I understood things like alternative spellings so I saw the title as Pet Seminary.....so I was confused for awhile.

Yeah there were a few scenes I read in the book that looking back I am like oh my, shouldn't have been reading that but my parents never paid attention to what I read as long as I was reading. ALSO, nice to see you!

Checking in from Siesta Key. The weather was cloudy and windy until yesterday but Justice liked it because it was fine for walking and sitting on the deck. The rest of the week will be perfect for beaching. This is our view from the deck outside our room this morning:

QOTD: So many books! I was an avid reader from 1st grade on. The series of Nancy Drew books -- To Kill a Mockingbird and Gone with the Wind when I was a bit older.
