Good Morning Mel and Menuers,

Mel sorry you have a long day ahead of you. Hope it turns out better than you are setting it up to be.

I am feeling so much better today from my cold. I had to run to the vitamin store yesterday to grab the progesterone cream that has been helping with my hot flashes (Thank you Mary) and I asked the guy what do people buy for colds ? He said they swear by this Oscillo****inum and for $20 I thought I'd try it. I felt better after 1 dose. It is a quick dissolving Pellets under your tongue. It is for flu symptoms but seem to have really helped clear me up.

I'm gonna post a few photos today. I got my Medal and shirt from my Elvis run so I want to show it off. I plan on running another 5k on the 18th. I didn't sign up yet but I am going to look into it today.

QOTD: Smoking. I was a smoker right up till surgery, 36 years, but now I hate it!!! People do not consider other people when they are out in public. I go outside for fresh air not your smoke.

Accountability: Bad considering I have a few to loose and this is a holiday weekend. I ate a bunch of Cocoa covered almonds.

Glad the progesterone is working. For colds, I take Echinacea. I buy it at a drugstore for less than $5 a bottle. It is what Native Americans used to treat sickness, wounds, and infections. I try to avoid prescription medicines whenever I find something natural that works.

Good morning! The day is getting away from me already. I've been trying to post this for 90 minutes.

I had a successful evening food wise last night, but I added wine. Which I did not need, but certainly enjoyed.

Today I opened my computer and saw that I already hit my (companies) daily sales goal. So it's onwards and upwards from there. Love big sale days. Mama can always use a new pair of shoes. Also today, I am finally getting to see my girlfriend that has been so sick. We were not allowed in the ICU, so I have not seen her yet. She got transferred to a rehab facility the other day and I am in charge of taking her lunch today. And feeding her. And while I dread going into that place, I cannot wait to see her face. Taking all her favorites to try and plump her up some!

QoTD: Insolent people. Don't be rude or disrespectful. Just don't.

Menu:

B: 1 oz goat cheese, 5 strawberries and lemon two good yogurt

L: either the insides of 1/2 an egg salad sandwich, or more pork and halloumi.

D: pollo asada, grilled veggies, refried beans and a bit of cheese

S: jerky

Peace Everyone!

Nothing that another person does really gets under my skin. I tell myself that if I had had that person's life, parents, education, questionable intelligence, and obvious problems, then I would act exactly the same way that they did.

I was in a car with a friend on a cold, snowy night. A semi-truck passed him and cut him off on a slippery road. He was cussing and I said, "maybe we should say as prayer for him, heading north on a night like this".

He replied, "Yeah, I will say a prayer that he runs into a snow bank".

Good morning everyone~ I love the Golden Girls. Hugs to you Melody! The last couple of days have flown by so I hope today and tomorrow are the same. Lots going on at work - all productive, not overwhelming. There is nothing like a busy day and realizing - oh, it's time to go home! Love it.

QOTD - Nothing much gets under my skin any more, but maybe those people on the freeway who try to pass on right only to keep getting stuck and do it over and over - actually - they make me laugh now that I think about it! So I will go with open mouth chewers - it's gross.

Hello Peeps,

When we go to Seattle this weekend for the Hella Mega Tour my daughter wants to go for a hike in the rain forest (located on the Olympia penisula). This means we need to leave home a day early so we have time to drive to the rain forest and do our hike. I am pretty excited about it. There are waterfall hikes and a variety of shorter hikes (
