I'd give my left tit for a day under the covers (with or without snacks). I have serious deadlines to meet by 11am that seem utterly impossible. Other than that, my new staff seem like they are doing well, and I think if I squint, I think that maybe I can see a light at the end of the tunnel??? I'm so tired you guys...

I was hungry yesterday! I ate everything I brought by 11am and then ate a biggish dinner. But in positive news, one of my coworkers pulled me aside and asked if I was okay because of how much weight I have lost since coming back to the office. Yay!

Good mornin everyone.

Yesterday was extremely pain ridden. It's just getting so old. I see the first neurosurgeon Monday so I am counting down the days. I also see my PCP tomorrow. Not looking forward to that...at all. My weight is awful. My blood sugar has still not gotten back to normal. I'm just such a mess. Facing the music sucks sometimes.

No big plans for the day. My mom may want to go to Target and Sam's as I didn't feel up to it yesterday afternoon. I'm fixing to try and get a tad bit more sleep...maybe it'll work this time...LOL

G'morning menuers!

QJB - I wish I could give you one of my days-not that I'm in bed all day-but don't have much work related stress at the moment, but happy to hear you can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Super excited today because I'll be running in my new shoes. If you had told me 5 years ago that I would be this excited about a pair of running shoes I would have thought you were crazy. Got them in the mail yesterday, Hoka Clifton 8. I tried to support our local running shoe store, but they had only one ugly color. They offered to order it online for me but they would charge $25 for shipping and about 4-5 days of waiting. Pffff, Zappos got them to me in one day and no shipping charges. I'll report back tomorrow how these Hokas are. I hear from everybody that they love them.

QOTD: Chi fa per se fa per tre. Loose translation is if you want something done do it yourself because you can do the work of three people.

Accountability: I made a quick stop at Trader Joe's, and kinda went crazy with all their new pumpkin products. Bought and tasted pumpkin covered espresso beans, mini cone pumpkin ginger icecream, some sort of maple tea biscuit. BUT, my NSV was that I didn't eat the whole thing, I had one cookie, one mini cone, and a handful of the espresso beans. In the past I would have eaten them all in one sitting. So this is progress in my book. Christina, if you are reading this I was thinking of you and the concha story ;)

I also overbought all the pumpkin stuff....I really wanted the ginger mini cones but they were out (so tell me they are awful).

I can't lie...they are good! And especially for me, one cone takes the craving of the icecream away. On the box the serving is 3 mini cones, so I felt very "superior" when I had 1/3 of a serving!

That's where I went, fleet feet. I felt bad ordering online but I had left my old shoes in Italy, because I had already reached the 400 miles, and also just to have running shoes there for when I go back, and needed one here ASAP.
Let me know what you end up getting.

I Love th HOKA Clifton 8 - It's what I have. I've only run once (feet felt great), but I wear them walking and on errands shopping. I can wear them for hours and not think even about my feet - light and comfortable. I can't say that about any other shoe. What color did you get??
