Damn you ladies I guess I need to go get a new pair now. I have been past due since early July but been putting it off. If I had to guess with a little calculation these have almost 500 on them. I'll try to go at lunch tomorrow but things have been super busy at work and I can not get away. Tomorrow for sure. I hope.

Chrissy, certain run trackers keep track of your shoe miles too. I have it both on Nike run and through my Garmin watch. You put the limit, and I've put it at 400. I really feel it when I go past 400 in my back and my knees start hurting.

hi all

only 2 calls today and the last 2 days have not been good for me and yesterday for some reason i was a basket case. just felt terrible. the power keeps coming off and on at the house- only 1/2 the house mind you. I have no clue what the problem is. this means at a moments notice i can or can't microwave food, cook food on the stove. I can always make coffee and have internet. so in a way suppose its like camping. I will drag out the skilled that plugs in this morning... just in case. that does cause anxiety.

QOTD: there isn't one just something underlying about eating food.

QJB, congratulations on the comment from your coworker! I'm sorry it's the stress appetite suppressant effect but I also know we take the wins where we can!

QOTD - we have a few - "don't be a dick", "no whining unless you're doing something to change it", "be kind or be gone"

I have a few early morning meetings, a break for a PT appt and then more meetings and somewhere in there I need to document a working session from yesterday. I am looking forward to tonight's cardio pilates and then a stretch class.

I"m on my second cup of coffee and will have one more; I still didn't make the chicken so I need to make it this afternoon or freeze it. I"m thinking yogurt breakfast, nuts and cheese lunch and then either chicken or pb toast for dinner.

Mornin' All!

I was feeling really out of sorts yesterday, which is unusual for me. I think it's all the crap with my MIL and the fact we had to cancel our trip to Italy - and the fact the property owner is going to keep 100% of the money. She's legally entitled to it, of course, given this late date, but I was hoping she'd have at least a little compassion given what we're dealing with, and maybe give us a slight break (like maybe only keep 75% of it or something) - but no. Oh well. Nothing I can do - and again, she's legally entitled to it since it was in the contract. But I won't be staying at any of her properties when we rebook the trip. I may even try to find something a little more upscale since MIL will be paying for the rebooking. So anyway, I think I might have mentioned that my old laptop died a few days ago - only 2.5 years old, so I wasn't happy. I've been using DH's since he uses his work laptop now since he's usually working remotely these days. I've been researching new ones, and decided to take the plunge yesterday in hopes of cheering myself up a little. So I did. I went with a mid-range this time since I haven't had much luck with my last two (budget laptops, that is...) lasting very long. Hopefully I'll get a couple more years out of this one. So far, I really like it!!

Documentary film group this morning and my three-month post op with my facial plastic surgeon this afternoon. On Sunday I ****ed my lower jaw to one side to get some food that was "stuck" in the back of my mouth and heard an audible ripping sound. And now I can feel a sensation when I do things like turn my head to one side, or tilt my head back to wash the shampoo out of my hair. I can't tell if there's been any damage because it's a little swollen - but I'm concerned. So I'm glad I'm going in today. Hopefully it'll heal with no outwardly noticeable effect, or if it doesn't, that he can "fix" it.

QOTD: "ignore it like it never happened" is a good one. My immediate family always has a Scandinavian approach to issues and unpleasantries. Even if everyone was ticked off at everyone else, no one never said anything. They'd just sit there and quietly seethe. God forbid anyone would dare to say anything. It was like living in an Ingmar Bergman movie.

My weight is inexplicably up a pound today. Not happy - but then, that's how fluctuation works, so...

B: plain Greek yogurt with blueberry/blackberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: at the film group. Probably a iced latte made with 2% milk and SF syrup

L: leftover Indian kidney bean curry

AS: not sure - maybe a light yogurt and an apple

D: leftover sesame noodles

ex: some kind of dance/walking video before I go to the film group, since i probably won't bike today
