Good morning! Yesterday at noon we made an audible and decided to take this three day weekend for me and drive over to see my Dad. It's six hours and I hate the drive. But a fierce review of our calendar shows now, or I won't see him until Christmas. Last saw him in July. That's too long. So, I'm in lovely Congress AZ this morning. I just finished making them breakfast and have moved onto reviewing my recipe file for dinner. I like to make things that I can freeze extras for him.

Happy Friday,

One of these days I will figuire out how to post a picture. It is great to see everyones' lives in color. This weekend my kids have a concert performance (they have their own rock band that writes their own music) so that will be my Saturday since it is mid-day in the park. Sunday, my daughter and I have signed up for a 10K hike/run. I will definitely not be running (yuck) it. Should be fun.

QOTD: I would probably choose the bike. I do like horseback rides but as I have gotten older the ground seems so much farther away. I did own a motorcycle (Harley!) for 2 years but never felt super comfortable. I dont mind riding on that back though.

I finally decided that I need to start cooking more again so that I am not eating the same thing over and over. Last night I made some really yummy PF Changs copycat Chicken Lettuce Wraps that turned out great.

B: Triple Zero Greek yogurt, cold brew with sf vanilla, sf caramel, half n half

S: Protein Oats with collagen added (I think the collagen has really helped my hair!)

QOTD- Horse of course!

I finally solved the out of market NFL games issue. I bit the bullet and got NFL Sunday Ticket so I can stream the games. More money than I wanted to spend but I guess that's what you get when you move to paradise.

I had a session with my counselor on the phone yesterday and caught her up on all of the drama. She seems to think I'm doing OK. So I just need to keep reminding myself of that. I'm going to try to get out this weekend of course between football games and do something different this weekend. I may go up country and find a place to hike. I remember a place I went before that had huge eucalyptus trees, I'll see if I can find it again.

I've been getting a lot accomplished at work, and I bought a weekly/monthly organizer to keep track of what I work on. So it isn't such a nightmare on Fridays when I do my time. Maybe I am learning something.

Another beautiful day, I took an hour out of my morning to do a 3 mile walk. I always feel better when I do. So I'm going to try to figure this out. If I wait until after work it's too hot- I am not accustomed to this yet, so early morning seems to work the best. I just say I'm away from my computer for an hour, and then I work an hour later. Not that it's late for me I start at 4AM and finish at 12PM, or today at 1PM. I'll figure it out.

anD the subsequent time zone Issues. By far my favorite is when I get to start super early and Early but carving out time For yourself like that is spot on. Put it on you calendar so they know you arE away and take your walk. It sounds like it will help you a lot! Have a great adventure this weekend!
