Humpty hump already, this week has been going fast.
Has anybody been reading about the two LAPD officers who were fired for playing Pokemon Go during work? This happened in 2017, but their appeals just ran out this week.
It seems that a call went out to respond to a robbery at a nearby Macy's and the officers were parked nearby. After hearing about the robbery, the officers drove away. The in car video system picked up one officer alerting the other officer that a Snorlax had popped up nearby.
The video system could hear the other officer say " Aw, screw it" as they headed out in search of the Snorlax. Apparently, on their way to get the Snorlax, another creature, called a Togetic popped up and the officers battled the Togetic while other police officers responded to the in-process robbery.
Their sergeant wondered why they had not responded to the robbery and checked the in car video camera.
Their dismissal was ultimately upheld by a judge last Friday.

QOTD: I can't recall much that I would change about either first day of college or first day of my first job. But beginning my current job, 23 years ago, I was so focused on getting to work and making a good impression, that some street shoe shiner scammed me out of $20. So, I guess that I would like that back.
