Mornin' All!

I have to take my car in later this morning to get new tires, so I hope the snow we supposedly got overnight has been cleared off the roads (haven't checked yet). Other than that, I have a meeting via Zoom from 1:00-3:00. And I want to finish off this young adult book I'm reading for my children's/YA book discussion group. And exercise. So there's my exciting day...

QOTD: Nope. I've killed every type of plant imaginable, even those that are supposedly difficult to kill. My mother has a real green thumb - I evidently didn't inherit it. It's just as well - with four cats, plants wouldn't last long around here.

B: plain skyr with a berry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: maybe a Jimmy Dean's light breakfast sandwich

AS: protein muffin, L&F yogurt

D: one piece of pizza

have a great day, everyone!

Carbolose is low carb Bisquick. Use it the same as Bisquick in any recipe.

G'morning all!

QJB - hope you feel better and your pcr test is negative.

DS should be let out of quarantine today after a negative rapid test. He felt fine and no symptoms the whole time. We sent him a couple of DoorDash dinners for which he was grateful, after being fed by the school three meals a day.

Our weekend was low key, with some long walks and a nice lunch outdoors; thankful for our sunny and relatively warm days.

QOTD: nope. I have the blackest thumb and kill everything. That's why I'm looking for fake house plants. BTW, I looked into the stores that you guys had suggested but the ones they had were short. So I might have to order online.

Accountability: some indiscretions happened on Sat. That meme of the baby and cake was me with roasted edamame sriracha. Nuff said.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: coffee + barebells bar
  • L: tofu curry Indian platter (didn't touch the rice)
  • S: Small scoop icecream
  • D: skipped
  • E: Rest day

Happy start of the week!

Good morning, everybody!

I had visions of going to 7:30 Crossfit, until it took 35 minutes to drive my son to school. His school is about 1 1/2 miles from our house and basically, the drop off line started about a half a mile from our house. Snow is the culprit.

The whole ride my warning light kept buzzing on and off because the cameras were getting coated in snow.

Now I am torn between a burst of productivity and going back to sleep on the couch.

Marilyn gets home late tonight. I may or may not pick them up at the airport, depending on what they decide. It seems like a pretty low key trip. They went to Guy Fieri's restaurant on Saturday and they are going to Gordon Ramsey's today for lunch.

Yesterday I spent two hours shoveling. Yes, we have a snowblower, but i thought that it would be quicker to just shovel it. Nope. It made me feel less guilty about the meatball sub for lunch, though.

The squirrel seems to be having fun making snow forts though.

QOTD: We do not. Marilyn loves to garden but mostly outdoors, i guess.

Breakfast: DD egg bites

Lunch: Mahi burger

Dinner: beef curry

Have a great day, all.
