Good morning all and Happy Monday,

Weekend was decent. It was a normal weekend full of family and school work mixed with a little sports watching. Today marks three years since I stopped drinking. It was quite a lifestyle change at the time. My life used to be all about overindulgence.

QOTD: I can't think of anything off the top of my head. However, I do have something that I've been putting off that probably won't be that bad. I have a storage area in my apartment building that I haven't cleaned out in years. I even have my household aid to help with the lifting involved. It is very much an out of sight, out of mind situation. Maybe when I bring out the air conditioners this year, I'll go through everything.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Ribs with g. Hughes sugar free BBQ sauce.

D: Garlic shrimp and green beans.

I will be 74 this week. I am single and have talked with many men through the years. They all tell me that the point when their life turned around is the day when they quit drinking. Many of them were drunk through their 20's and quit in their 30's. They were then able to concentrate on their families and careers and achieve their dreams. The longer the drinking continued, the less happy and lower self-esteem in the older man. How is your dad doing?

I am more proud of the fact I stopped smoking than I am of the weight loss. It was so hard but I did do it in 1 try. Congratulations on your success.

quitting smoking was hard as heck. I had at least three long quits before I quit for good (and many very short quits!). That was back in 1995.

Good morning, everybody!

My son's college has an annual spring event called engineering days (E-Days). School is cancelled on Friday and professors are not supposed to give tests on Monday or homework assignments over the weekend. (I think there is only partial compliance on the homework part). They have concerts and events, like normal college spring festivals, but also some really fun stuff.

I saw some of the pictures from this weekend and the coolest things that they had were: cardboard boat races on Clear Creek, Women's prom dress rugby, and trebuchets. With all of the engineers, the trebuchets were huge and some of the groups really got into making the cardboard boats - although there's some that slapped something together last minute just to participate and ended up in the Creek. I think that there were over 100 cardboard boats entered.

Unfortunately, there was some windy weather in Colorado this weekend, so they had to cancel the concert and a few other events. In any case I think that he had fun and it was a good break from Differential Equations. The has one and a half weeks of class left and then finals are around May 6-10th.

Marilyn is watching a Gayle King segment on Megan Thee Stallion's shooting and just asked me " I don't know her - which songs is she was famous for." I played dumb. Don't need to go there on a Monday morning.

QOTD: I had one of these at work that was so epic, that I was posting about it here. All in it took about 45 minutes and the client agreed with my analysis.

Breakfast: Egg sandwich

Lunch: Roast beef

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!
