Good Morning Jen and Menuers,

Thanks for starting us off Jen. I make those poppers. I was looking for something to do with an excess of Jalapenos one year and this popped up on allrecipies. They are so good. I do them with the bacon as well.

My weekend was good. I spent Saturday fighting a bit of a hangover after a bunch of sangrias at my friends graduation celebration. I was still able to prep everything I needed for my Mom's Mothers day dinner. S he was very happy with her meal yesterday but was more impressed that I found Lindt's truffles with coconut for her. I can't wait till I am old enough that the little things count

G'morning all!

Jen, sorry about your neck! I'd use biofreeze.

Mother's Day weekend was glorious. Saturday the weather was beautiful and the sun was shining so we decided to go to the beach. Although we live by the beach we rarely go and lay down. Infact "our beach" was windy so we went about 20 minutes north of us to a semi private beach (cove like) to be protected by the wind. I know DH agreed to do this because it was Mother's Day weekend. You need to understand this man is from Irish descendent; he is white and can't tan. My fondest memory is the first time we went to Hawaii together. I was sprawled out on the sand soaking up the sun while he was under an umbrella literally hiding from the sun. That night he had sun burnt toes because the tip of his feet were outside the umbrella.

Yesterday, DH and I biked to a little store by the beach and had a great breakfast for Mother's Day. Then we had a very long and satisfying face time with the kids. They ordered me, through door dash, one of my favorite desserts. It was nice of them to try and recreate our old tradition even when they are far away.

QOTD: caviar. Not many people like it or know how to eat it.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee, eggs & chorizo
  • Oatmeal banana choc chips mini cake
  • Quest Protein bar, caramel washed Gouda w/strawberries
  • E: Rest day unless you count the 6 miles bike ride

Happy start of the week!

DH is a ginger and our first trip to the Caribbean I wanted to make sure he did not burn. We tanned for at least a month before heading to Cancun. From about Mid Calf down he had sunburn I was baffled then realized he wore socks in the sunbed.
