good mornin! I'm glad to say I actually got more sleep! I skipped the ketamine and I actually slept! Almost 6 hours! Wooot! I'll definitely take it! It would seem the ketamine is definitely not going to cut it. I just can't live like that.

we're supposed to have a heat wave of epic proportions. 106° at least today. I am NOT a fan! I hate heat like this. Ewwww.

QOTD: what is the best or your favorite piece of advice you've received?

for me it's that being mad at someone doesn't do anything to that person...that it hurts yourself more than anyone or anything.

No idea on most food

Food does not have a moral value.

Mornin' All!

I ate too much at the lunch out yesterday. Actually, it would have been OK if the waitress hadn't given our group a free order of fried cheese curds. Other than that, I only ate half my Impossible burger and a few chips (like 10 or fewer). But because of the curds, I was about 200 kcal over my limit, and I didn't exercise yesterday. I'm not particularly happy with myself because this has happened too often, and I've just been spinning my wheels. I really need to really buckle down on restaurant eating. I normally do OK when eating at home, but I go out often enough that if I don't really watch it at restaurants, I'm not going to lose this excess weight. I was so good at this the first few years post-op - but I'm not now. Ugh. Luckily, not much going on this week as far as outside eating events; regardless, I need to start managing these better because there are always going to be eating events.

I'm going to go to a Zumba class this morning. It's also available virtually, but I think it might be better to go in person since I'll be more likely to do it for the whole hour.

QOTD: I'll have to come back to this later - nothing is coming to mind right now.

B: plain skyr with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: pulled chicken with BBQ sauce

AS: protein muffin

D: pasta with tomato pesto (not much of this since my stomach only tolerates about 1/2 C of pasta)

Good morning. It's a beautiful morning here, though it is expected to be hot this afternoon. I stayed on my food plan yesterday. Yay. Went a bit overboard on my wine plan. Boo. Back in the saddle today. Got a friend coming in for the weekend and he sent a smoker ahead because he wants to smoke ribs. He's just that guy. Does stuff like this fairly often. So now we own a smoker. I guess that's good?

qotd: Everyone could be a bad person. Inside our heads we say/hear things. But what makes us good is recognizing it and not acting on the thoughts.

Menu:

maybe breakfast will be left over pork belly bites with the poached egg

lunch will probably have something to do with left over roast chicken. Still delicious!

Dinner. Who know what madness will happen when my buddy arrives! I'm TBD for the whole evening!
