What's on your Sunday menu?
good mornin everyone.
I've been up for the most part since around 11:30. Yesterday was a bad pain day and my spirit was pretty low. I broke down and took a pain pill and all it did for me was make me super itchy. It helped with the pain maybe 10% for 2-3 hours. Anyways...since I was up I made my mom some coffee cake streusel muffins. I did all the dishes.
My mom wants her birthday dinner today so I'll be making buffalo burgers, pasta salad, heat up some baked beans and salad. Oh and she wants French fries. Since I'm already tired it should be an interesting day. We bought a very small chocolate cake since that's what she wanted. Tomorrow I am making a peach cobbler and homemade ice cream for her. Chocolate and peach don't mix and she is craving both. The cake is 5 or 6 inches round.

not much here. I have 3 appointments and I'll likely be put on insulin again. But it'll be what it'll be.

yesterday I managed to stay on plan - shooting for that again today. I'm tired of feeling bloated and heavy. My dietitian said during our virtual appt last week that "you've only gained five lbs". Yea - but I crossed a line. I'm now feeling bloated and heavy most mornings. Don't like it. It's motivated me to really crack down on this recent gain.
it's cooler today and I hope I can get out on my bike, but we had mega storms last night, so everything is wet and it's probably really humid out. We'll see how it is this afternoon. The high is only supposed to be in the low 80s today, so afternoon biking is definitely possible as long as this humidity disappears! In other news, we'll (hopefully...and finally..) washing and waxing the kitchen floor today.
QOTD: we're going to some dinner on Tuesday evening with one of my social organizations and then one of my film discussion groups meets on Wednesday morning. Otherwise, looking forward to making a big dent in all the stuff I need to get done...

MS: protein shake (yesterday had a vanilla one blended with cantaloupe, a few mint leaves, and ice - may go for that again today!)

D: 1/2 a fake chicken burger on 1/2 a slim bun, corn on the cob (Mexican-style - with light mayo and chili/lime seasoning)

What a wonderful day on the water yesterday. Totally relaxation. And it was bring your own food and I did perfect for the day. Not much today. Quiet Sunday for sure.
QoTD: So much. Hair getting done on Monday, Grandgirls Tuesday, dinner with a friend on Wednesday. And hosting friends and neighbors on our deck on Friday. Oh and seeing Pretty Woman, the broadway production, on Saturday. I'll need groceries and walks in there somewhere.

QOTD- Today viewing the house I put an offer on. Having more work this week, and not the heat wave that is coming.
Good news I found a house and I've put an offer in. It's not in the location I would like but it seems like a really good fit. I'm going to look at it again today at 5:30 with my roommate and make sure he's OK with it. I went to an open house yesterday, and there was lots of interest so I put in an offer 10K above the list price. I should know by tomorrow if they will accept it. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I finally went to the chiropractor on Friday and he thinks it's a disc, he adjusted me and the pain has been much better. I see him again on Monday. He also has a beautiful harlequin Great Dane named Thursday who comes into the office. She is so sweet.
I need to either find the heavy duty extension cord that is in storage not my storage but my roommates or buy one. Both of the bedrooms are on the same breaker and the 2 A/C units will trip the breaker. So we'll have to plug one into the living room. But with temperatures expected in the 100's this coming week I'm just so happy to have them.
