Hey all, Sorry for the late post. I actually slept in this morning! A miracle.

Yesterday I had some scary news about one of my nephews. He had a major medical emergency and just came out of an induced coma. Right now they don't want any visitors to the hospital but I am hoping maybe they'll let us go tomorrow. Today I will try to stay focused on working on my big paper that is due on Thursday.

QOTD: What is your go-to breakfast? 99% of the time I just microwave egg whites, diced ham and feta cheese in one of those egg crocks. Its good but I'm bored with it and looking for ideas!

B: Fit frappe mocha & the usual egg dish

L: Thin addictives cranberry with laughing cow cheese wedge & Costco chicken skewers

D: Spicy chicken sausage link

G'morning all!

QJB - speedy recovery wishes for your nephew. Sounds scary.

Hope everybody had a relaxing weekend. I had a great weekend with two sets of friends. I know I'm repeating myself, but I am of the opinion that time spent with girlfriends is a balm for the soul. So on Sat I had a "high tea" event at my house with one group of friends. We went all out and got hats, gloves and pearls and acted like little girls going to a tea house (it reminded me of DD's 10 bday party when we took them all to a tea house and they were all dressed up). It was so much fun acting silly. On Sun I had brunch with another group of friends and we ended up staying till about 2:30 pm (we got there at 10:30) just talking. My emotional tank is full and I am ready to tackle the week whatever comes my way.

In my talks with friends I asked them if they had any ideas about an easy group costume for our Fri night event at OH. One of them had a great idea and if you girls are all up for it I think it would be FUN! What if each of us is a tropical ****tail drink? I looked online and found an easy DIY tropical drink costume (it's only a headband and those little umbrellas you can get on amazon). Depending on the color of your regular dress you can be any drink you want. For example I have an orange dress so I think I'll go for tequila sunrise. Let me know what you think.

QOTD: when I'm not doing IF, scrambled eggs, egg bites, barebells bars, or anything strikes my fancy. Just because it's breakfast doesn't mean I can't have left over dinner at that time of the morning.

My meals yesterday :

  • Iced cafe au lait & pain au chocolat
  • Left over Thai food
  • TJ pumpkin mini hold the cone icecream
  • Skipped dinner
  • E: rest Day

Happy start of the week.

I just want to say that high teas are just so much fun! They were one of my favorite things in the UK, and there are so many hotels and places to visit to get it. Sounds like a fun weekend!

I'm glad I am too busy to get out to TJs and also that it's likely that pumpkin hold the cone wilL be gone soon, lol.

If you stick to one mini cone is not bad.
My problem is when I get a pint, but these single serving icecreams are not a problem for me.

My plan was this with some water wings but I am not opposed to sticking something on my head.

I'm going as a cat (suggestion from QJB, given my name on here!). I bought my "costume" several months ago, so I think I'm stuck with it. Although I'm fine being stuck with it!!
