Last night they made these fall themed cookies.
And I have three classes booked in December for this set of Christmas Cookies!

It was a bad night last night. The furnace was supposed to be working, but it wouldn't get any warmer than about 64 no matter what I did with the thermostat. Dentist was painful so I drank wine to make myself feel better. My roommate came home and blamed me for the furnace not working. He told me that I should have made sure it was working before they left. Well it was working, and then it wasn't. So he left for the night, it wasn't a pretty scene. Now the light in the kitchen doesn't work, not sure if it had anything to do with the work or not.
It is 55 inside right now. I'm wearing my wind/rain pants just added the long underwear shirt & bottoms, a regular shirt and my Dad's Pendleton shirt on top of that. I have the portable heater going and a couple of hand warmers but I'm still freezing. The guys won't be back for about an hour.
Still not sure how they are going to get the duct to my bedroom, hopefully they will figure it out.
I need to get to work but it's hard to focus when you are cold.

I would not be happy with the cold or furnace situation. I also dislike when a person unfairly blames me for a problem, I had nothing to do with or was responsible for causing. I hope they can get the situation figured out quickly!

Sorry for this crappy situation. Hope they're able to correct it soon...with the temperatures they should be prioritizing it! Also hope you're able to stay warm in the meantime.

Aw Geeze. Did you not get a home warrantee when you bought the house? How did the inspection miss all of these problems. I would be pissed at the realtor if this was happening to me. Sorry you are going through this and by the way tell your roommate to go pound salt. He is a D K in my book. Sorry I been thinking that for a long time. You deserve better.

I had a really nice birthday Wednesday. Dinner with my sister was great in all respects. Pics below. I forgot to get a pic with my sister, a rare opportunity missed.
I have a pretty relaxed weekend ahead. I'm going to see my parents tomorrow and possibly getting together with a friend for a low key Saturday night. I'll go to my club Sunday morning and watch some football afterwards.
QOTD - The scariest thing lately happened right in my backyard. I use marijuana to help manage pain. I stepped out my back door to smoke earlier in the week. It is legal in Chicago to used cannabis outside in back of your residence. There are two cops that park in my neighborhood. One was parked right outside my gate in eye sight of my back door. He came back to his cruiser and got his K-9 out of of the tinted back seat. He started crazy barking at me and it scared the **** out of me. I immediately had the fear I felt when I got in legal trouble I'm my teenage years. I'm glad I don't put myself in compromising situations anymore. Don't do drugs.
