QJB- I am glad to hear Grim is starting to feel better. Enjoy your time off while you can. Embrace the boredom!

I had a nice weekend. Today I am still home since it is part of my 3 day weekend. Yesterday, DD and I did a clay sculpture class where you sculpt your dog. She did our Dottie and I did the mini Goldendoodle. I think they turned about pretty good. I will post pics on Friday. The instructor said that you either go with whimsy or caricature. Today I am getting my cars oil changed. I have decided to join Planet Fitness so I will do that and get the weightlifting workout done. Then Pilates tonight. Otherwise not much planned except laundry.

QOTD: absolutely

Accountability: excellent

B: triple zero Greek yogurt with keto granola and berries, cold brew with half n half

L: Asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing

D: summer salad with chicken light poppy seed dressing

S: 4 squares sf chocolate, protein frosty

E: weights, pilates

Sculpture sounds fun! Greenware can be pretty tough. Congrats on your decision to join PF!

The Circuit at PF is nice too. But they have Trainers that will set up a program for you as well. They don't tell you that all the time you have to let them know you need it, and they will work with you. I usually got a new plan every 2 months to work what needed worked on.

Good morning everyone! Home from HIIT class and lived to ride another day. I'm actually enjoying it for the most part. Who exactly am I and where did I come from?

Very successful weekend for me. I walked each day and ate pretty well. 100% on plan yesterday. Once I finish cooling down, I just need to clean up, put the house to rights and make a quick stop at the grocery store for two ingredients for tonight's dinner. And run a friend to the airport. The weather is already turning, so the storm is definitely marching to us. I had hoped Sheila's fierce-som-ness would stop it in it's tracks for me.

QoTD: I was going to say "Not for me, no. But anything for the grands and God help us at the gift shop we would be required to go through to exit the building". But then my friends started talking porch bar and I believe my original response might have been to hasty.

Menu:
B: 3 oz pork and half an apple (I have to portion the rest of the pork out today and get it frozen)

L: leftovers from last night. Stuffed flank steak and cornbread panzanella salad

D: turkey and butternut squash skillet. Side of salad

Peace everybody!

Okay - I'm with you - maybe I was too hasty as well. Just add a porch with wine and you got me.

Good afternoon and Happy Monday all,

I had all intention of posting this morning. I haven't had a second free since waking up.

Weekend was good. Fireworks yesterday at the club board meeting. My feet are still angry and I'm dealing with it the best I can.

QJB - Glad to hear Grimm is getting better and that you're still negative.

QOTD - I would definitely go to see them. Dinosaurs have always captivated my interest. However, I have a moral issue with having captured, confined animals/species in cages or being held in spaces too small compared to their natural habitat. I totally understand and don't have any issues with having endangered or near species in the hopes of repopulating or preserving the remaining species. That being said, I've always loved zoos.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine. Amazon solimo no sugar energy drink.

L: protein shake ($1.50 each or $31.50/case bf tax at Costco today for 18 shakes in a case, 11oz ea. Does anyone have any cheaper recommendations for premier protein or fairlife?)

D: roast beef and asparagus.

S: 2x string cheese.

Hope your feet improve - does sound rough and like you have a lot going on.

The price you quoted is cheap based on what I see online but then, no membership clubs in my wallet. That to say, I haven't seen cheaper options for those two. I've seen some other brands at Walmart that might even out. Are Fairlife/PP necessary brands for flavor/preference?

Thanks. I'll probably pose the question again on an early morning to see if anyone else has any suggestions or recommendations. Amazon's prices aren't close to Costco. $32/case isn't bad but I last stocked up at $25/case after coupon at Costco. Dang inflation. My bariatric doctor only recommends the premier protein shakes. The NP said fairlife were ok too. Do you have an alternative brand that you like?

It's worth asking! I have leftover Unjury and Planted powder and some Isopure for cooking, though the price went from $20 to $26.50 for a pound...feel you on inflation. The only pre-made shakes are Fairlife from the one trip to Costco with family at Thanksgiving, and OWYN shakes I have from Walmart that I stocked up on pre surgery. I like them because of the basic ingredient list and low amount of real sugar.

Ultimately though, my practice would rather shakes didn't happen if possible. Haven't been looking for anything new because of that and my aversion to sweet flavors. Pure Protein is in that bucket and costs more than Costco pricing.

See what answers the gang comes back with! Cheers.

I don't know if it's still the case since I have reduced my consumption but when I used to drink a lot of PP, sam's club had the best pricing. Several dollars cheaper than Walmart
