I had it once at an airport about two years ago, over five years after my surgery. I used to like it, but after five years of not having it, it tasted like chemicals to me. Bleeech. I drink mostly flavored water now, both sparkling and still. The carbonation occasionally bothers my stomach, but not always. If it does, I just let it go flat. I've also read that the carbonation thing is a myth.

Good Lord. One of our cats is constantly trying to chew on the band of mine - but so far he hasn't swallowed it. Thankfully.

We once had a cat drag off our little pedicure sander(can't remember what they are officially called) and we couldn't find it for months. We eventually had to move one piece of the sectional and they had drug it under there.

Our pup mona loves used dryer sheets. She digs them out of the dryer trash can and rubs wildly on them,

Hi all

Been in a weird mood and really didn't want to work but I got through it ha!

QOTD: I would need my football team! They are a great stress reliever (and giver)

Food: meal replacement shake, tuna quinoa thingy, ground beef Savoury mix, few protein chips, and a protein water and protein hot choc (first try - was nice)

Have the best day!

Thanks Doc!

Don't know why I worked TBH, Australia has great paid sick leave laws and my employer is very generous and doubles the days allowed. Our sick leave days never expire either, I left my last company with so many days 'owing', I really should take a casual mental health day!

Mornin' All!

well MIL is still in the hospital. DH called her last night. In retrospect, I should have swung by there after I was done with my mother's tax appt (she goes to those AARP things where they do seniors' taxes for free), but after spending two hours at the library waiting for her tax returns to be done, and then going over to MIL's apt on the way home to check her mail and feed/water her cat and scoop the litterbox, I was beat. We have no idea when she'll be discharged because they're still trying to figure out the best way to handle her aneurysm. Evidently her COPD is giving them some pause, because it could affect her ability to pull through the surgery. Although I'm not sure why they're still keeping her there, though - unless they're still doing some additional testing to make sure they can pull this off safely. Or it could be that her oxygen level isn't high enough yet - it runs low because of her COPD. They don't discharge people from hospitals until it's consistently above 90, and when I was there a couple of days ago, hers would occasionally dip into the high 80s. So that could be it. Who knows. I'll stop by there after water aerobics today - I'm sure she'll let me know what the deal is (that is, if she even knows...)

we're supposed to go to a party tomorrow night and bring a dessert or appetizer. Whether or not we actually go will probably depend on what's up with MIL, but I've got to decide what to bring since I'll need to go to the store today if I need any ingredients. Something else to add to the list....

QOTD: I agree with you on coffee. I was really afraid before I left for India (in 2019) that it'd be really hard to find coffee there. I knew they were big tea drinkers. I'm fine with tea, but coffee is absolutely essential. How could I possibly live without coffee for a month? Some of my fellow travellers were planning to bring instant coffee with them, but....bleeech. I was very worried. But...guess what? Coffee is everywhere there now, so there was no need to worry! Besides coffee, I hate to admit it, but i would totally die without internet access. I don't even want to know how many hours per day I spend on it - between looking things up on my cell phone (i.e. usually only when I'm not at home), classes, movies, youtube fitness videos, checking my email, FB, catching up on the news (I never almost never turn on a TV) - I seem to be on the damn thing all the time.

B: plain skyr with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: will I finally eat that hummus sandwich? Still haven't. I'm going to kick myself if that hummus has gone bad and I have to throw out yet another thing of it...

AS: pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread - it's formed into little pingpong-sized balls) (I made them last night so I could use up some parmesan cheese before it started getting moldy. If I'd have thought ahead and made enough of them, I could have taken that to the party instead of trying to come up with something else - duh!!!)

D: I was supposed to meet a friend for dinner last night at a Middle Eastern place, but we rescheduled because I wasn't sure what was up with MIL. Unless something awful happens, I'll be meeting with her tonight. So probably a chicken skewer/pita sandwich or a chicken skewer over hummus.

have a great day, everyone!
