Gas and constipation can cause a lot (and I mean really really a lot of pain).

Some of us post op RNY developed constipation. I found that the bad way, after having CT scan due to really bad gut crams and pain. And I had BM every day. The CT scan showed I was literally "full of it", including my small intestine. AKA - leftover undigested food starts fermenting in small intestine causing gas and excruciating pain.

In addition- as I was losing weight and losing fat, my body adjusted - changed shape - so chiropractor adjustments were really helpful to deal with pain due to body shape changing.

Good mornin everyone.

yesterday ended up being ok but it was exhausting as well. I just can't shake this tiredness. I slept more than I usually do but I still feel exhausted. Some mixed news on the pain side of things. My back area is feeling a little relief since the med in the pain pump was upped last time. My legs on the other hand are hurting fairly severely. To the point where it's hard to walk sometimes. Esp in my left leg and foot.

I did find some resin for a really good price at hobby lobby. They are redoing our store and had a bunch of it reduced. I may even go back today to get another deal of it.

Not sure what today'll hold as of now. I'm hoping for a low key day myself. Though I see a grocery list on the table beside the chair. LOL. If we do get out I will go to hobby lobby but I don't have to if we don't need to go elsewhere.

QOTD: pic says it best

Food for the day is unplanned but probably tilapia and some veg.

Today would have been my grandpa's 103rd birthday. I miss him everyday but I know he is in a much better place. Pic of him and Mona the groana and a funny meme. We did indeed get snow yesterday. Not a lot and it's already melted off.

Love that picture of your grandpa, Mel. It's one of those that looks like it captures a lot of personality. Hope you get your quiet day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Yesterday was very warm, and every kid in the neighborhood was out playing. There is this one boy we can cee from our living room window who has been outside every day, all winter, shooting baskets. I've never seen anyone work so hard. Especially when they appear to have not improved, at all. But I love his enthusiasm.

QOTD: 3 grandparents were from Ireland, and one was straight from French Canada. I've never done a DNA test. I'm afraid it might get a couple of cousins prosecuted if I did.

Here's an 1877 cartoon from Tomas Nast, who was wildly popular 150 years ago. He's most noted for drawing the first depiction of our modern Santa Claus. Nast drew Nast(y) depictions of Irish, Germans, Chinese, and Catholics of any type. In America, everyone gets a turn.

You're not wrong about everyone getting a turn; seems like one of the constants in history is our desire to persecute someone, anyone.

When I did my DNA tests, I warned the family "I will totally turn you in so don't do anything wrong", lol

So, they had no prior offenses?

the only DNA databases law enforcement uses are GEDmatch and FamilyTreeDNA, and you have to opt in if you're OK with that (they started this opt in/opt out thing a couple of years ago, when law enforcement started using genetic genealogy big time to solve cold cases - and not-so-cold cases). I'm in - if some 5th cousin of mine is a serial killer, I'm glad to do my part! I don't think any close family members of mine are at risk of anything, though!

I did mine before the opt in/opt out was in place.
