Chair of the region! Love the way that sounds. You're going to be amazing. And I'm glad you've got a backfill.

Learning so much in this thread about sleeping habits with the furry family.

We had a corgi that passed away last year. She was a big girl - 40lbs, hot, slept hard and like a sack of cement. I can't imagine two!

Aww, I remember you mentioning her before. Sorry for your loss. It's always hard when you know they're with us for so many fewer years.

Yep, both between 35-39, are hot from the double coats, and my older boy does a great cement sack impression. If there were two humans in the bed, I don't think it could work. Not that I get anywhere near half the bed.

Good morning JB and Menu Friends,

Love the meme! Envious that you and Grim were able to do yardwork! I think you are usually a few weeks ahead of our spring cleaning.

My Boss is heading on Vacation at Noon and gone for a week. This will be the first extended trip where I am responsible for making decisions accordingly. We have complete faith in our Management Team and Staff, the only concern I have is if an off the wall HR Violation pops up...LOL

Good morning all and Happy Wednesday,

QJB-I would like to correct your meme for new sleeve and bypass patients. It should be 99% thinking about what food you wish you could eat later and 1% thinking about healthy food that may taste acceptable.

My orthopedic surgeon appointment went poorly. The surgeon said he will not do the surgery because he does not feel that he is the best at doing this type of hip replacement procedure. He does hip replacements from the top of the hip where the procedure should be done from the side of the hip. He said my pannis hangs down making a higher infection risk post surgery. He referred me to a couple other surgeons that may take my insurance. I followed up and they don't take my insurance nor do any of the surgeons on my insurance provider list. Not sure why this particular surgeon told me to come back after I lost the weight if he wasn't going to do the surgery anyway. The hang of my pannis hasn't changed. So frustrating to be given a goal weight for surgery, approaching that weight and then being told no. I could've done the surgery 6 months post Sleeve but it was a riskier surgery. I decided at that point to go the safe route and wait til I lost the weight.

Regardless, it's out of my control and I've started looking for a way to get the surgery elsewhere. Another day, another challenge to be overcome.

QOTD - Klondike bars never moved the needle for me. Yes, they're delicious but messy when eating unwrapped and I don't like eating around the wrapper. My grandpa, on the other hand, didn't like desserts but loved Klondike bars. They were always in the freezer.

B: scramble eggs, fresh mozz, asparagus, tangerine.

L: rotisserie chicken. Mushrooms.

D: Filet, glazed carrots.

S: celery with crab Rangoon filling.

So sorry the appointment went that way. Boy can I relate. Ugh! I know you'll find a surgeon who will take the case! Good luck!
