I love this mindset. Glad the flour molecules didn't get between you and Marilyn! You've been hanging tough.

Good morning all and Happy Monday,

The weekend was really nice. I'm really enjoying the excitement in the early stages of a relationship with Emily. We went to a Buddhist meditation yesterday and it was... different. I will stick with my current meditations.

My sister and I were able to finish clearing out my father's apartment. I'm so glad to be done with that. We're having trouble finding a new facility that will accept my Dad, with his conditions. Back at it today.

QOTD- Currently, most used apps are Spotify, Slickdeals, Discord, Spotlight, and stupid Xfinity for hours last week.

Accountability: 1/2 egg bagel. Why didn't the world tell me that fresh egg bagels are as delicious as they were 2yrs ago? I hadn't had a bagel post sleeve.

B: 1/2 bagel, lox, chive cream cheese, tomato.

L: BBQ gumbo - Spare ribs meat, Andouille, brisket, pulled pork, traditional roux.

D: ??? Maybe ****tail shrimp or grilled chicken, carrots & cherry tomatoes.

Oh man, that's rough. Was he in assisted living before and they can't support his new needs?

Congrats on the relationship!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Hope you find the perfect organizers today. It sounds like a nice break from school and all the cookies.

My weekend was nice. I have been sick with something in my chest since last Wednesday. I thought it would break by now but still has not. It does subside when I take the Zarbee's cough syrup It is an herbal cough syrup with no drugs or alcohol, artificial sweeteners, dyes, artificial flavors and it is gluten free. And surprisingly works instantly.

Rudy has been keeping me moving. No rest for the weary here. We get our 2 walks a day in and he is beginning to make a bunch of friends. I also Had my taxes done this weekend. No harm no foul. Just glad it is over. Did a lot of food prep for dog and me. Shelia, I love that protein pudding it so easy to whip up and such a nice, sweet treat.

That sounds like a bad funk. Glad the Zarbees is helping. That's a new one for me! Much as the pups are worth it, that's one of the drawbacks when you're not feeling well and they still need the outside time. Walkies have to happen.

Thanks for sharing the Thai turkey recipe!

that thai turkey burger made me drool... I wish I could eat cabbage. Even a little can give me horrible cramps. ugh...

But, I have to remind myself (when I feel sorry for myself) that now I can eat some lettuce (romaine, butter, etc. - as long as they are organic) and apples. Something I couldn't eat a few years ago. So maybe ..one day?

G'morning all!

Great weekend: combo of productivity and laziness. I had mentioned the Sistine chapel exhibition, I had expected it to be like Van Gogh full immersion but this one was just pieces of the ceiling up close; which if you think about it wasn't bad because usually there is a 66' distance. Jen, you would be so proud, I read every sign posted at the exhibit. Some of the stories behind the pieces were new to me so it was educational and interesting. After that we went to see Pretty Woman's musical. I thought the cast was great but the Richard Gere character's voice to me was jarring; I would have preferred him not singing.

Yesterday was just a lazy day. When DD came home a couple of weeks ago brought a sweater I had knitted for her 3-4 years ago. She still likes the yarn and the color but wanted a different sweater. So I unraveled the sweater and now using the yarn for a more simple sweater. I asked her if she wanted me to get new yarn but she is all into upcycling. So yesterday I was knitting most of the day and watching the first season of Slow Horses from the book of Slough House. I also finished the first book before watching the show, so now onto book 2. I get so excited when I find a book series I like (thank you Jen) because I know for a while I don't need to panic what my next book will be.

QOTD: Audible, Libby and hoopla are my book apps. MFP for food and Connect for Garmin workouts. CNN for news. TikTok, FB, IG for socials. My daughter got me on the knit/crochet tok and oh my goodness so many projects. I guess I am also on the HP/LC dessert tok because every other post is about a dessert. Funny I never see all the semi nude girls dancing and/or other stuff all the congressmen usually see on tiktok, I wonder why!

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee & fake donuts I had ordered last week
  • Egg omelette with cream cheese and hot sauce
  • Protein pudding
  • Vegetable soup & cheese crackers
  • E: Rest Day

Happy start of the week!
