I hate that happened to you. Sprained knee can take a long time to heal.
See if you can use lidocaine patches for the knee. The regular or Rx. They make a huge difference in pain level when used regularly. They are rather expensive, but help.
Plus - for future- k-tape to help with the knee strength after you stop using the lidocaine patches or cream.

Thanks - so far Tylenol and Arnica are helping with the swelling but the lidocaine didn't really touch the pain when it first happened. I will try again today now that it is a little better already!

Another story I contemplated was, "trampled in the vendor hall when someone announced a new cookie cutter shape". Equally plausible.
