Good Morning Everyone! I am happy to report the first drama-free day in my body in weeks :) I was on my feet for a few hours in the morning and I was able to manage the swelling, and no puking or anything else weird. Yay. Plus, we had an awesome time at the Wizard of Oz and at dinner. The movie was perfect, my fish tacos were perfect, and I had the yummiest peach martini :)
QOTD: What would you ask the Wizard of Oz to give you? I think I would ask for perfect metabolism :)
B: protein coffee
L: leftover fish tacos
S: popcorners
D: chicken/onion burger

Good morning gang. The Wizard of Oz was great in the theater. It really made me wonder what the sound quality was like in 1939. I assume theater sound systems were crap compared to today, but I really don't know.
QOTD: I think I'd ask the Wizard for perfect eyesight. My distance vision is great, but I can't read anything without using readers. It's annoying.
I got my invitation for JB's parent's 50th anniversary party in July. The invite said I can bring a plus 1. If anyone will be out this way and wants to go with me, let me know.

I remember the improvement of the sound at the drive-ins when they switched from the speaker you hung in your car window to when you turned into a specific station on the radio, it was huge. I wonder if it was like that?

I bet it's something like that. God, those speakers were utter crap, if they worked at all. I saw the original Star Wars at a drive in with those crappy speakers.
We've got two surviving drive ins out here. Any where you are, or anyone else?

We have about half a dozen, including the one I went to as a kid! The last time I went to the drive in was in Indiana when I was visiting my aunt and uncle, we saw Jurassic World, so that was 2015, I think.
I did hear they were going to open a new drive around but I'm not sure they did.

When I was very young there were four withing a half hour drive. One is now a Walmart, one a 55 and over community, and two are just empty fields.
The closest now is about an hour away.
