Good Morning! I am finally feeling a lot better. What a week. I am grateful that it seems like I will be able to move forward with my class on Sunday! Phew! What else is happening this weekend? Grim's birthday is tomorrow! Yay! Wish him a great one!

OMG I have no pics this week - not even cookies :(

QOTD: When did you join OH? Did you post right away or did you read and lurk for awhile? I joined when I had my first lapband surgery in 2008. The boards for all of the different surgery types were crazy active at the time and there were hundreds of posts to read a day. I didn't lurk long, I jumped in and was active from the start.

B: protein coffee & chicken

S: babybel

L: veggie burger & cheese

D: cauliflower crust pizza

  • High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
  • High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
  • Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
  • Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
  • Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)

Good morning QJB and menuers!

That's another meaning foe TGIF for you! Now you can get all prepped for the cookie class! Meme...I wish! Did lose my Netflix access and I haven't caved to get my own, yet. Happy early birthday Grim! Hope you have ham-plams to celebrate!

QOTD- I joined July 4th last year but had been reading and lurking for a couple weeks. The boards aren't very active, obviously. I read a ton but only posted on the main forum initially. Fortunately, the folks here responded and the rest is history. I do wonder about what the future holds given the lack of overall activity. Very grateful for OH!

Yesterday I made my homemade stock for the first time. I have had an aversion to bones since I was bitty, so these were the first poultry critters I've cooked and handled myself. It was...a process. But it came out so well! I did Cornish game hens because they didn't have giblets to deal with like whole chickens do. There's only so much new I can do at once.

Then I made matzo balls. They're huge since I haven't made them in 20 years and forgot they grow! And now I have to make more because Matt shared his recipe! Thank you!

Accountability - mostly ate stock yesterday. It was so good...I had three servings.

Exercise- Will wait until tonight and revisit the site Jen shared

Menu - Protein shake on the way to the meetinf, TBD since they're serving breakfast for the meeting. I'll bring some shelf stable protein since I'm not sure about lunch. Matzo ball soup for dinner.

Pics are yin/yang moon setting over my pole barn, one of the hibiscus I planted, my enormous matzo ball, and the start of my stock yesterday.

Happy Friday!

Here is the broth recipe I use. It has no bones and I use the chicken breast to make Chicken salad after I drain it off. If you never been to Skinny Taste she does a great job at making fattening food diet friendly.

I have also used frozen chicken breasts to make a broth also. I think frozen works better than fresh.

Good mornin all. Happy early Birthday to Grim! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Today my mom is wanting to hit up the thrift stores. I think she said somewhere else but I can't remember.

lots of my city had major flooding that peaked over the weekend. It's really bad. The playa lakes are almost all over their banks. The "leadership" of Amarillo failed miserably with this. The playa lakes are our drainage system. They pump them out of the city towards our major reservoir. Only the pumps only work when it's not raining. We had rain almost every day give one or two days without for 3 weeks. You'd think they'd have pumps that work when it's flooding . What do I know?

I have come to the conclusion that I need a new kind of pliers. My regulars just bite into my hands too much. I have a bad, painful, callous on my middle finder of my right hand. The ends of the handle also hits right at the center of my palm. With my uptick in mailling I just can't do much more with em. So I went on a mini spree and got a pair a cheap pliers, vet wrap and padded bicycle gloves that was recommended to me. All less than 32 dollars. I'll use the vet wrap to see if I can adjust my xurons which have my favorite jaw and nose,

QOTD: I think I came looking around 2017. Lurked for a while then posted for about a year. Felt I was embarrassing myself and left for several months. No matter where I go I always feel like I don't fit in(imposter syndrome thank you...). I still feel that way occasionally (all my issue). Y'all practically saved me after a bad Christmas. I simply can't say how much that meant to me!

my pics are of the kids. Riley is the creepy one...that frightened me a bit LOL

also thrown in another bracelet I finished yesterday.
