Good Morning! I got the Costco Mashed Potatoes yesterday! We went to the store about an hour after the store opened on a Thursday morning, and the store was freaking nuts. The line was backed up to the back of the store and there was almost a fist fight over people "cutting" the line closer to the check out. Yeesh! But I have my potatoes, so Thanksgiving is saved :) I also grabbed their sweet potatoes and mac & cheese, so that all we need to make is the turkey and corn. Not our fanciest Thanksgiving, but I am glad we can still host.
Can someone please tell Grim that he needs to sit his ass down? I think he's been overdoing it.

QOTD: You are hungry and dying for a snack. What time is it? 3:30pm for me. I used to plan for 5 - 6 small meals and that made it easier to avoid snacking, but I realized that my small meals were getting bigger so I really try to stick to 3 meals with no snacks. Buutttt I'm noticing how hungry I feel every mid-afternoon, lately.
Accountability: On track except for a little mid-afternoon cheese.

Good morning and happy Friday!! I have to visit three locations today plus one tomorrow so it's not quite the weekend in sight for me...but it's getting closer!
yesterday was good, busy as expected and I don't get my steps or my workout in but I know that was probably going to happen. My boss was in town too so had a good catch up with him. Lots to do before the end of the fiscal year the calendar year and then the new year does not start off slow. I do have this morning's workout done and am enjoying a tea right now.
qotd - I have not noticed a set time. I think it very much depends on if I've made good choice and if I'm bored/unhappy/annoyed or not. A no on choices or a yes on feelings can trigger a snack want.
another day with no set menu but I have nuts and a protein bar. I think I will be taking some colleagues to dinner tonight but would not be unhappy if they don't want to go, lol.

that book photo - I remember a couple of public librarian friends saying that once a great while they'll have a patron come in wanting them to look up a book they'd borrowed a while back. Since libraries generally don't keep records after a book is returned (so if they're ever subpoenaed for some client's reading list, they can honestly say they don't have the records), they've occasionally had the patron say "I don't remember the title, but it was green" (or whatever color it was). LOL - very helpful (not!)

Morning everyone. Lots of running around today. I've got PT, then an MRI, then another MRSA swab before the next surgery, which is 12 days away. But I think we're done with pre-Thanksgiving prep.
I'm a little sad JB didn't like the picture of us in our matching Dolly shirts from the other night. We were incredibly cute.
QOTD: It really varies. I find that when I'm doing well, it's best for me if I delay eating in the morning. The earlier I eat, the hungrier I am later in the day. If I delay eating first thing, the hunger goes away, and I can make it until about 11am. Then I can eat at 11, 3, and 6, and I'm generally much happier.

Good news Friday, my mom's stress test came back completely normal!
Not sure what today'll hold. My mom talked about going over to my aunt's house for a bit today. I'll likely stay home if that's the case. We got our turkey yesterday and decided to go with a whole one, it's just much more affordable. We got a butterball for 1.29 a pound...there were cheaper brands as low as 99 cents a pound. We got almost everything else we needed save about three or four items.
My pain levels are pretty high and I've been able to sleep a lot more lately. It's a double edged sword. The more I stay still the more I hurt lol. It's always something isn't it?
Today is a special day, we've had the kitties for 9 years today. It has been an adventure to say the very least! I love em to the moon and back!
QOTD: lately it seems all the time but the worst time is mid morning for me. I don't have set times though. I try to be careful more so now due to being on insulin.
