Good Thursday Morning Gang!! Well, I was able to sell 80 of the chicks last night, now I just have 40 left which isn't that bad. Twenty of them are supposed to be going this Sunday and then that will leave me with 20 extra left. If I end up having to keep them it's not the end of the world just extra chicken in the freezer. I did lose one of the almost 3-week-old bunnies last night I noticed it not really growing like the rest of the litter and it just wasn't thriving sometimes it just happens that's the farming life. Crossing fingers my Cal has her first litter this weekend and everything goes OK. We have a lot to do this weekend and then next week I'm only working 3 days and have a nice long weekend. I have so much stuff to get done outside that sometimes it gets over whelming, but I just keep on trucking along.

B: coffee with MCT oil and collagen protein

L: 2 egg omelet with ham and cheese

D: 3oz ham salad with 2 cups toss salad and veggies

Since it is a rainy day here we will be going to the Y tonight.

Have a great day everyone!!

Yes we raise chickens for both meat and eggs have been doing it for years. Just last year we got into meat rabbits. I have a waiting list of people who want rabbit both live and processed. We have to rearrange things because I think we are going to have to make more hutches than anticipated. The Spring here in Northeast CT has been a bit wonky and next week we are supposed to get 80-90 degree days.

Not sure where in NY you are, but I know there are a good amount of farmers markets around along with local farmers.

Ithaca, NY has a huge farmers market that has several farmers who sell fresh pasture raised chicken.
