What's on your Thursday Menu?

Happy Thursday Gang!!! The smoke from Canada is supposed to be even worse today than it has been the last couple of days. It was horrible yesterday afternoon, so hazy, you could taste the smoke and the smell was awful. The news said if you had to be outside today to wear a mask because of the ash particles in the smoke. The water wash scheduled for today was pushed to next Tuesday and Maggie's goodbye lunch was moved to Monday. It's already been a busy morning here at work with different things. I have to sit with the plant manager, and two other employees to figure out who is going to be attending a training the first week of August.
I was able to get the rabbits cleaned out, did a little weed whacking, got the front lawn watered (we planted seed in one area), and did a little organizing in my hutch. I don't think I'll be doing much tonight outside except for taking care of the animals since it's going to be worse outside than yesterday.
B: coffee with MCT oil and collagen protein
L: salad with chopped up turkey
S: cottage cheese with red raspberries
D: grilled flat iron steak and steamed squash
Have a great day everyone!!
Your meals sound good. I don't know why I've never tried raspberries with cottage cheese (or do I just not remember it?). All our berries are super ripe right now and we've got so much in the freezer still that I'm not going to freeze much, if any this year.
Sorry that there are such bad fires in Canada and making breathing difficult for your area too. We used to have really smokey summers from either our own mountain/range fires or from Western Canada. Knock wood, it hasn't been bad like that the last couple of years. Even since before Covid I've kept a box of good quality N95 masks just for summer. Hopefully they'll gain containment on those Canadian fires and make it easier for you and everybody to breathe.
After an appointment today I whipped over to Costco so supper tonight is a baby kale salad mix with rotiss chicken and instead of the bag dressing, some of my Walden Farms diet dressing. Wish Hubby would help eat this up, I usually get tired of it (the salad mix) too soon.
Breakfast was just pills and water then my big shake around noon. Got to attend the first Zoom bariatric support group last night, that was nice and the topic was drinking water. Very good refresher plus learning about new products. And there's a thing called 'stacked water', sounds like my kind of gimmick. Going to look it up tonight. Hit up Goodwill too and got some new jeans, capri's and natural fiber dresses. They're priced so high but I can be guaranteed of finding what I need there versus the cheaper thrift stores.
I'm going to start a separate thread to discuss some results I got this week in hopes anybody else might want to discuss it.
Have a great evening and I hope to be able to contribute to the Friday menu, another appointment!
Molly
