They are soft close! I built new drawers and put top of the line soft close guides on them. And new hardware on the doors! But they aren't magic. You have to close them part way.

When my house was being built my friend said to get the soft close doors and drawers. They are awesome but not as awesome as an elf that would close them for me.

Good morning everyone and happy jr Thursday!
qotd - my mother wanted to name me Athena, my dad wanted to name me Heather. No explanation given for how I ended up as me.
busy day so far, I didn't even get into my work email until afternoon, it was just running and running all morning! I did get a less than motivated workout done this morning, more of the I am awake, I know it's good for me and I have time so I'll do it kind. Breakfast was two of the mini Dutch pancakes (each about the size of a quarter, but puffier) with warm cherry sauce, scrambled egg and yogurt. Also coffee and black tea. Lunch was a slice of ham, a slice of Gouda, with a hard boiled egg and the top of a wheat sandwich bun.
Dinner wilL be an adventure because I haven't been able to find an online English version of the menu. Should be cool though, the restaurant is in the stables of Amerongen Castle, which is the first place Kaiser William lived in when he was kicked out of Germany at the end of WW1. I think it's more of a fancy house than an actual castle.
have a great day!

Good morning, everybody!
We had a lovely Valentines Day. I went to the cheese shop in the next town over and picked up the Love Stinks platter around lunch time. That little town gets crowded, so when I saw a parking spot across the street, I performed a, not particularly popular with my fellow drivers, U turn into a parallel park. Which required about a 17 point turn during lunchtime traffic. Then, when I got out of my car and walked to the cheese shop, I saw that the spot directly in front of the shop, on the side I was originally driving on was open. Oh, well.
The goat cheese with cherry jam on the little pieces of baguette was wonderful, as were the Tete A Moon flowers (Chrissy nailed it). I was surprised by what they described as Sopresetta, because it was more like a German sausage to me. Smoky and I put some mustard on it. And it came with a bottle of Tempranillo, which was good, although everything would pari so well with goat cheese. We had one other couple for Happy Hour.
Then we watched The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune and I fell asleep on the couch. I'm a little sore from squatting and box step-ups yesterday, but it sure helped me sleep.
Today was the last day of the HGTV Dream Home giveaway. We each managed to enter almost every day, but I'm glad it's over. I'm sure our chances of winning are about one in a trillion, even with all of our furious entering.
QOTD: Great question, but I don't know the answer.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: catered
Dinner: Probably leftover platter
Have a great day, all!
