I'm almost 12 years out from my Rny surgery and have gain almost 60 lbs. in 2 years . I'm struggling with obsessive compulsive eating. It started 2 years ago when my sister died of her MS. I didn't know how to grieve so I started eating to dull the pain. Kept the eating somewhat under control , but then a year later my mom died and it was off the the races with eating. I am having trouble controlling the compulsive eating and I've packed on 60 lbs. since my last weight in. Carbs and cheese are my biggest fails. Any advice would be really welcomed. I've come to far from being almost 600 lbs. and I really don't want to go back or die from unhealthy choices.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Gratz on your one year surgiversary. It's a great time when you can do thing or wear things that you never could. Keep it up and listen to your bariatric doctors. :)
Just hang in there and keep doing what the surgeon has told you to do.
I usually stall when I blaze my little happy trail.
4 years out now, down almost 300 from my worst and 160 down from my RYN.
I lost weight from my head down ,so your weight might be gone from your chest up.
I hated the way I looked at first but it will eventually go all the way down your body.
In the last month or so I have put on 14 Lbs. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong ,but I have been hitting the gym 4 times a week 2 hrs each time. I was thinking muscle mass ,but 14 lbs seems a little much. Any ideas?
As far as comments " You have such sexy eyes" Really!!, was I walking around with my eyes closed my whole life?
As far as feeling full, I didn't for a long time and now its only when I overeat do I feel it. My body gave me a few new tells for when im full. I sneeze, yawn and my nose runs, not all at the same time. Its mostly I just sneeze when I'm full.
Hope it all works out for you. Just remember " We may stumble and fall, but thats ok as long as we pick ourselves back up and continue on"
Just remember that surgery is not a silver bullet. Its still gonna be hard you just have a tool to help you on you way to a healthier you.
Im taking a Multi vit(rite aid central vite) ,Calcium(500mg), D3(1000 iu),B12 (500mg),Ginko Biloba(3.6mg),Niacin(400mg),Beta Carotene(25,00iu).
I'm 23 months out of Rny and have lost almost 300 LBS (yeah I gotta brag :P)
My dilemma is how many times should I take these a day and how should I stagger the dosage?
If anyone can give me some help id really appreciate it.
Hope that helped.
Keep listening to what your surgeon tells you.
Dont become a horror story they use on other RYN patients when they go in for their 1 month follow-up.
Ive never dumped as far as I know . The first 6 months or so was trial and error so I vomited alot.
If you asked me if id do it all over again, you bet your life i would.I like being accepted in public and not beinf stared at like i was some side show freak. Not to mention I like buying clothes off the rack and many other benifits that make pizza or any other comfort food not important anymore.
