I do not have mine. i got it removed about 11 years prior.

it has been years since ive been on this site! I was wondering if anyone has stomach issues with bloating and pain just under your sternum? i am 11 years out from surgery.

Yes they do! I've been on prozac for a good 6-8 months now and have gained a good 20 pounds... so not happy about that. It is a constant battle

I've had this problem for YEARS! Even before surgery. It's a real pain in the butt!!!

time since surgery just over 4 years
B: scrambled egg with onion cilantro and tomato and some broccoli
L: 2 ounces homemade turkey meatballs 1/4 c brown rice and 1/4 c zuccini
D: 2-4 oz chicken breast salad and some other veggie

I went to the ER last December for dehydration. And I was a little over 3 years post op.

thats what i was assuming :) but was curious because the yogurt is so much thinner than chicken and other meats. Thanks for your feedback!

I am 4 years out from surgery. My question is, although it may be dumb... if you are eating some chicken and a yogurt for lunch which do you eat first??? I feel dumb for asking, but i dont remember!

Im also checking with my doc on friday! Im sorry about the sensitivity... It is no fun.

Thank you for the replies! I am gonna check with my doc friday about that scan!!

I have never had a dexa scan. Im not sure if my ins will cover that. I will ask when I go in Friday.

Im curious if anyone has had more teeth problems after RNY? I see my doc on friday regarding my labs to see if im lacking vitamins somewhere, but my teeth are more problematic these days. I had RNY 4 years ago.

2 months after my surgery my left foot ballooned up and was so painful i thought gout. No gout, couldnt find anything wrong with my foot or leg... Still to this day 4 years later and its still swollen! Good luck, I hope they figure it out quick!

You didn't have a high starting weight to begin with, so I think 12 pounds is good. I don't know your stats, but keep on doing the things your doctor told you and you will be fine!

I would love to see how this works for you. I am terrible at taking my vitamins. My last labs were good, I get a new set done in a month, so I'll have a better look to see whats up or whats down. A patch would be so much easier for me to get those vits in.

Nope, youre not alone! I feel tha**** still.

Thats an awesome response! I need to learn to love all the skin im in.

Congrats!!! I love what you did with that scale! Thats awesome

I am a thong addict! I like the victoria secret ones but cant always afford them. I find some pretty comfy ones at target and they are cute too!

Like you, I am never thirsty. And when i am I would drink a cup of water. Well i did it that way for over a year and a half and started having terrible stomach spasms, the docs never could find why. had scopes and everything. Well that way of drinking eventually landed me passing out in walmart in front of my daughter and having to take an ambulance to the hospital. I was re-hydrated there and i force my self on good days i will have almost 100 oz and on bad i will have 20 oz. mainly i stick with aiming for about 64 oz. Just becareful. As soon as i was re-hydrated my stomach spasms went away, and I havent had on since. Good luck to you!!! You are doing great congrats on losing what you have so far!!!! Keep it up!

I had the same symptoms, for over a year! finally the did an endoscopy and surprise surprise they found absolutely nothing wrong! So i upped my water intake by a ton, and ate only super healthy and it went away! The docs had no idea what it could be, I really think my situation was due to dehydration. it took a couple weeks to get better but to this day, no pain. I really hope you are out of pain soon. its no fun. GET WELL!!

Lots of us do! I am struggling now with a bit of regain. I am trying my hardest everyday to make the right food choices and started exercising everyday. Its not an easy thing to do!
