Topic: RE: had RNY a month ago
Cecelym, I was 247 at surgery and was 228 at one month as well ... I had surgery on 8/11/2011 and i have only lost 3 pounds since my 1 month date, I to am comparing myself to others who lose the weight super fast.. thats not me... lol, but i just found out that the protein i was dinking twice a day could be the reason fo rmy long stall, so switched yesterday to see what happens. I am eating more times a day noe too. Forcing myself to try and eat 3 times a day since I had an appitite after surgery and now I really dont????? So dont get down about it. GOOD LUCK! We are losers!!!!

JENN, i have nectar, its pretty good, i have the fuzzy navel flavor it kinda tastes like orange juice... but only 23 g protein per scoop so i wanted to find something with more protein per shake.. They sell it at The Vitamin Shoppe. Online as well.! That is the only flavor i have tried..

Topic: RE: Reason for no weight loss
I am getting in probably 50-70g of protein everyday, taking all my vitamins and meds drinking water, not really sure about the calories and carbs but im trying to stay away from breads, pasta stuff like that. i do walk everyday at least a mile. I hope it starts to pick up soon... Thank you for the reply!

Topic: RE: BFF not very supportive
I know exactly how you feel, although my (old) BFF never made those kinds of comments to me, ever since i told her i was approved for surgery(back in july) i rarely even speak to her anymore. She never calls or anything. Even though her own MOM had the same surgery only 4 months before me. Its so sad that people who we consider friends, prove to be otherwise. But hey, you are doing what is best fr you! And good luck to you in your journey! Im excited for you!
