OK , don't panic.  The first 3 days are the worst.  Keep in mind this "starvation" is for the good of the surgery.  The liver must shrink.
I did 2 week with my choice of high protein, low cal, low carb drink and was able to SF jellow and broth and popsickles.  Yes it sucks.

Get through the next 3 days.  Your body is doing a MAJOR detoxification right now and will be angry at you.  I would add pepper and seasonings to the broth and that seemed to help.  I feel if you do this kind of diet presurgery, the struggle to get in 2 oz after surgery wont be such a shock.

Hang in there!

I reckon the first 4 days are the worst while you detox and then it gets easier.  By the end of the two weeks you will think it was not that bad.  The pre-op diet is the worst part of the whole process I think.

You can do it, almost everyone of us survived we will be here to support you the whole way....you can do it girl!!!!!!

One of my many weight loss attempts was Optifast.  I was able to do the stuff for 6 months, and the first week is really the hardest.  Just push through.  However, after doing that and Medifast at a later time, I can't even stand the smell of soy protein now.

Thanks for the encouraging words. Today is the beginning of day 3 for me and it's a little better. Today I can have some food at lunch as well as dinner.

I think you are handling it very well already.  You came here and posted your frustations.  Keep it up.  You can do anything for 2 weeks.  Just keep your eye on the prize and come here when things get a little crazy.

See you on the losers bench!

hi...how about trying to add some flavors to your shakes (mint or hazelnut)  to mix it up or I also put sugar free banana pudding.  Try using a magic bullet to make it more slushier.  Remember this is a small sacrifice that will give you a huge reward.=)  You can do it.
