Chicken sausages stuffed with three cheeses sizzling & smelling heavenly.

Turkey chili bubbling with low fat yumminess!

Home made low cal, high protein ice cream churning to my daughter's delight.

Sounds good.  While I will say I don't enjoy the actual act of eating/digesting quite as much postop, I enjoy the EVENT of eating all the more...the aromas, the company, the environment, the conversation, the texture of food.  All the things I overlooked when I was ravenous!

It's like a new challenge to create wonderful food that my family and I can all eat. I love it! Today I had a protein shake that tasted like a baby Ruth candy bar! Yum! I still enjoy food andstill love cooking!

Yes, it really does have a LOT to do with how we present it to ourselves.

Normally I might have warmed the chicken sausage and turkey chili in the microwave, and had a sugar free fudgsicle as my treat before bed.  I decided though to saute the chicken sausages, warm the chili on the stove, and make eggface's protein ice cream.  I got so much more out of making it a "food event" with my family, even though it was the same food I would have eaten. You just don't get the same aromas, and the anticipation, when you nuke something!

I also love to cook and often miss preparing the big family dinners.
