New Jersey sleevers!

i'm in south jersey and had my surgery at kennedy in stratford.  my dr is dr balsama.  please come to the support group with dr balsama and dr neff  tomorrow night. great experience and a great time along with lisa the bariatric coordinator

Hi all, in central jersey but going to have my surgery at Temple in philly... doing pre-op now, hopefully surgery by august/september at latest.  have only had consult and endoscopy, have cardiology appt for friday and then all that's left is pulmonolgy and u/s for blood clots, plus 3 more monthly dr. visits... i'm trying to get all testing out of the way and just concentrate on the nutrition and dr. visits for the rest of my insurance required waiting time (4 months). 

Hi, I have all my pre-tests done just have to finish my 3 month nut. visits which will be May 24 then all the paper work will be submitted to insurance co. for approval. I have a July 6th surgery day. they offered me June 4th but I work in a school and want to do it when school is out so I can recouperated for the summer. Im from central NJ and will be having my surgery in Centra State Hospital. Good Luck with your journey! Kathy

Hey there my sleeve surgery is scheduled for May 9th and Dr. Muhammad Feteiha is doing it.  Tomorrow (Mon) I start my 2 week pre- op diet, so it is going to be pretty tough going from all this great Easter food to a virtually 2 week liquid diet.  Tonight is my official food funeral and I ate everything.  I know that sounds bad, but tomorrow officially starts my new life and a new way of eating/living/maintaining, etc.  Lets keep in contact I would love to hear about your journey as well as anyone else's.  Since we are local I would also be interested in support groups, etc.

I had Dr. Sowemimo, but I deal with Dr. Adeyri all the time! He's the best! I had my surgery on 2/23/11, at Centrastate Hospital too. The Hospital is also great! I look forward to hearing about you. Have a blessed week! Jan

I'm from Northern New Jersey, but have chosen a surgeon at Lenox Hill (Manhattan).  Hope to have my surgery in the next few months (hopefully the insurance carrier will come to their senses and approve me).

I am from Central NJ and I am have my sugery May 18 at RWJ in Hamilton NJ.  I have stress, echo and scope left to do yet.  Then I need to pull out my list start getting items in the house that I am going to need first few weeks.  10 days out of surgery I am going camping in our motorhome in Lancaster PA.  I know I am nuts but I thought it would be nice to recover some where other than home. And the motorhome has all the comforts of home.  I am going to run by doctor tomorrow to see if he thinks it is ok.

I'm from South Jersey.  My dr is Dr. Balsama.  He is wonderful!  The whole staff at Kennedy in Stratford were great.  And Lisa Shaw is a lifesaver!  Good luck to you and hope to see all the S Jersey people at the meeting tonight!
