How many cheese sticks?

Okay, when you are REALLY hungry, does a cheese stick fill you up? For me, I used to be able to eat like half of one... now I can eat 1 and half before I am full. I am just wondering this to know where I am at on the spectrum.

Like a stick of string cheese or fried cheese sticks? I found that I can eat about 3 fried cheese sticks and I am stuffed.   But I am 4+ months out now.
My heart is all mine and my mind is free. That's all the revolution; revelation that I need.

I buy sargento cheese sticks (just to give you an idea of how big they are) and I am satisfied after I eat a whole one. I don't get "full"...but I dont let anything get me "full". In the beginning, 1 bite of a cheese stick and I was done. Now, a whole one is all I need.

I can eat 1 string cheese or 1 low fat cheese stick at a time.  Just like other people I dont eat them to get full.  They are a snack or a way for me to get my protein.  When I eat my meals I will eat until I feel full.  But not with a snack. Just 1 for me.

I am about 5.5 months out.. one will still fill me up.. however like previously stated, they are just a snack so they dont fit into my diet much

Because cheese has a fair amount of fat and salt, it is better that you only eat one, even if you can fit one and a half.  Add some type of vegetable with your cheese stick if it doesn't fill you up by itself (like baby carrots or pieces of cauliflower) if you are at the post-op stage where you can have those and I'm assuming you are since you are eating a cheese stick :)  Even if you are doing 2%.....would advise you to only eat one.  Like your veggies...... as they will become VERY important when you get to the maintenance stage............Barb

This afternoon I had almost a whole cheese stick. I left that last bit because I didn't need/want it. I'm so grateful for my sleeve. Before WLS I'd have eaten the whole thing and then some more just because I liked the taste. Now, when I'm done, I'm done. I love how I feel.

OK peeps.........

Just a little friendly advice.......

Eating till your Full=Failure

Think about it.... That's how we got fat !!!!

Eat fixed amounts of food that is under your sleeves capacity......

They key is to see how little you can eat and still be satisfied !!!!

One other piece of friendly advice - easy on the cheese - If constipation is a problem for you.... One piece of string cheese takes away my hunger. If I need something to "hold" me for several hours I will have some turkey pepperoni with my cheese.
