****!!!!**** 100 pounds GONE ****!!!!****

100 pounds are gone!!!! Got up this morning and the scale read 184.8...101.2 pounds gone since my journey began.  Next goal...180 (my doctor's goal) and then I'll probably lower that goal to 160ish.

If I could give any advise...not everyone loses 100 pounds or all of their excess weight in the first 6 months, 9 months, or year.  I've been a slow looser from the beginning.  But slow and steady gets the job done.  I've had setbacks, I've gained, I've sabbotaged myself.  I'm done with that.  Have a plan and stick to it.  Work your sleeve for what it is...a tool to get you to your goal.  And START EXERCISING.  Walk, run, step, Zumba, cycle, anything cardio.  And probably more importantly,  lift some weights to build your muscles.  Women, don't be afraid of some heavy weights.  Push your limits.  Don't use excuses!

On to 180 now, hopefully before my next doctor's appointment at the end of June!

Congrats on your weight loss. I also appreciated your post that not everyone gets to goal during the first year. I'm stressing out that I won't make it. Thanks for reminding me to keep pressing, no matter how long it takes.

Your post is exactly what I needed today.  I've been a slow loser as well and haven't lost (or gained) 1 single pound for about 6 weeks.  I really fall down on consistent exercise and drinking my water.

Needed your admoniition.  Dawn's encouragement, too.

Sunday is my 1 year anniversary and I'm setting a goal to exercise every day this week and drink all my water!  Hopefully @ WW next Monday I'll get a 1 year anniv present.

Thanks for posting.

Does the "WW" stand for Weigh****chers?  I assume it does.

Yes, Weigh****chers.  Great for accountability (we don't have a local support group) and the new program is right in keeping w/ how we eat -- protein first, then veggies and fruit.

I didn't tell anyone except my leader and a few friends there about my WLS for about 9 months.  When I told everyone they've been very supportive.  I was surprised and pleased.
