Pain after eating cucumbers...... anyone else???

 I ate a cucumber the other day and I spent the whole night in horrible pain... I thought I was having a heart attack, it hurt in my shoulders and down my chest in a line to my stomach.  I was crying thats how bad it hurt.....  Anyone else have that pain or trouble with cucumbers??

did you peel it first or did you eat the skin? i was told no skins of veggie or fruit for three months, not all doctors are as strict but most say no skins for at least the first couple of months.  also some foods won't agree with you,  its just a fact,  maybe wait a while before trying them again :o) jeani

Those things are notorious for producing gas - even if you haven't had surgery!

They didn't cause me pain like they did you, but they just don't "feel" right in my stomach.

Like our friend GavinC said they are notorious for causing gas in everyone.

Cucumbers are very gasy and they always gave me heart burn as well if I ate the peeling but I love them so I usually only eat a small amount at a time.
