YES! I need a drink :) (LOL) everyone is different of course but i had my first drink at around 2 months out or maybe a little before even though i was told to drink but of course i couldnt finish the whole drink and took small sips. It really got me buzzed really fast amd i was surprised of the effect but it didnt hurt me. Trial and error after surgery is something you have to judge on your own. I was told to have an occaisional glass of red wine if i wanted. If your still puzzled then i would ask your doctor or nut for thier advice. Good Luck

I had my first drink maybe two or three months out, and drink very occasionally.  I was always a major lightweight before surgery, and so haven't noticed any increase in alcohol's effects.  However, the alcohol does wear off more quickly than it used to.... which is actually kind of annoying because I'll be sober by the time everyone else even begins to feel it!

Thank you all for your comments.  I think I may just try some thing light at home and see how my tummie handles it.  I do not want any accidents in public...LOL I will just bring my Crystal Lights any way!
