I got my date this afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! I am still new here and don't really have many friends but I know everyone is so great on here!! Well anyway I went to see my Dr. and I got my date!!!!!! August 16th. I only have a few appts for tests and a cava filter. Also a short patient class. I'm not nervous yet. I'm thinking about all the things I need to do to prepare. Keep all the advice and experiences coming

Yay!!!!  I know you are so excited about getting a date, it probably seems like far away but let me tell you, all the appointments and things you need to help prepare you for life after will assist in the time going by fast, Good luck and keep us posted!!!

Congrats on the date. Can you tell me what is a cava filter.

It's a tiny spider leg shaped device that they put into your artey to help break up blood clots. I think I will leave it in afterwards. You have a certain amount of time to take it out.
