5.5 months out... down 70 lbs!!!!
Hello all,
It has been a crazy ride. However, I am just getting to the point where I like my sleeve. The only reason I am not in love with it is... I cannot eat very much. Yes I know, that was the reason for the surgery. However, I eat less than toddlers do, so it gets frustrating when people look at you for eating so little. I can eat 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food depending on what it is.
I am one of those people who did not tell anybody, however, people have asked me and people start rumors at work about it... I just push on ( what business is it of thiers?). I have gall bladder disease ( but I am trying my hardest to save it before doing the surgery).
GOOD NEWS:
I have lost 70lbs. I walked up 4 flights of stairs yesterday ( for the first time) and did not get winded
I have went from a size 20 to a size 14!!! ( however, I am getting addicted to clothes, gotta watch it).
I am more confident that I was before. it is taking my mind time to catch up with my body.
I am HAPPY, not always self conscious about my looks...
So I am working on loving my sleeve, I am still BMI obese,... so once I reach my first goal to get me out of obese land, I will surely love it!

You go! Look how far you've come and without much outside support, to boot! Size 14- even though the statistics say you're "obese", you probably don't LOOK obese! Aren't clothes the best!! I have a pair of 16 jeans hanging in the doorway of my closet- 20 more pounds? You're almost at the finish line with your weight loss- congrats!
I understand not wanting to tell others about the surgery. I haven't told anyone at work and have no intentions on doing so. I get weird looks cause I am on liquids still. I get lots of looks and comments. Oh well, it seems to bother them more than me! I did; however, tell 2 friends and 3 family members.
You have done great on your weight loss 70 freakin' pounds in 5.5 months. I hope that I can be a loser like you! Your weight loss has been amazing!
