On the losers bench
well had Monday. Finally made it to the losers bench. been a few days of trial and error. jellos seem to be too sweet tasting and broth seems to taste "funny" to me. managed to drink a few ounces of skim milk, that worked well, just took a while to get it down. no hunger...feels weird after all these years of being hungry lol
still tired and wanting to rest a lot. trying to walk a little and finally showered and put on something other than pj's....feels good, but now im tired. can anyone tell me if they were this tired the first week? i quit taking pain meds yesterday. was hoping the tiredness would go away, but seems if i walk upstairs and back down i need to rest. is this normal? how long before it goes away?
Also, my guidelines are liquids for two weeks. if i am up to it, would it hurt to introduce mashed potatoes or something mushy before then? just really want some potatoes..have for weeks now lol

Congrats :) and I am 2 weeks and 1 day out from surgery and I can tell you the first week all I wanted to do was sleep.. and if I walked even a little I would end up napping in the car on the ride home. As the doctor told me today at my visit your body is still healing :) rest when you need to :) your body will adjust :) Good luck on your journey.
