I am having my hysterectomy Tuesday. I was sleeping on and off now it is 1:48 am and I am up again worried to death.

I would rather have my weight loss surgery all over again in stead of this operation. They are using the robot machine on me that is why I am scarred. But I hope to be on line Tuesday after noon they say I should be up and running in no time. Thanks for the vent. Val

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

Surgery is always scary. We will all be thinking of you… and you're little robot. I bet its more precise than the human hands, you're safe babe!

Jennchap you have done an amazing job with your sleeve. Thanks for the LOL. I hope it is precise what happens if my doctor moves his hands wrong is what I keep asking my self. But you right surgery is scary even this one which makes number 7 for me this year.

You would think I would be fine with this but I still get scared. Thanks again.

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

You will do just fine and be amazed at how great you will feel. Mine was laproscopic 11 years ago and I questioned the doc whether he did anything or not because I felt so great afterward.

Keep us posted.

Always the best wishes, Sue

My mother-in-law had a hysterectomy on Friday with the robot and she came through with flying colors. It is the least invasive way to have it done so that means quicker healing. I'll keep my fingers crossed that goes well for you!

I had a hysterectomy with the DaVinci robot and it was great.  You will do fine.  I didn't need any painkillers after and could have gone back to work in days but enjoyed 2 weeks off in July of 09.  I had thought I would be in the pool all of that time but had to stay out of the water for 4 weeks.  Keep your spirits up!

I had mine the open way about 6 years ago--it hurt, but I actually felt better than I had in years, immediately! No more constant pain in the lowerabdomen. Trust me, in a month you are going to feel great between the hyst. and the WLS!!
