feeling pretty good , however i have pain when i eat or drink. it feels like my stomach is churning and tightening around the food right after i swallow as if it is trying to find a spot for it to settle, it stops almost immediately but happens with every swallow. Is this just because my sleeve is so new? How long before swallowing is more normal?

That's how I always felt and my doc said it was completely normal.  If it becomes a severe pain, call your doc immediately!  I always chalked it up to swollen tummy and the newness of it all!  :)

Feeling the same. My surgery was on Thursday. I think this is very normal for early days. It should get better.

I have the same feelings (surgery July 27th. two weeks out).  Beginning to try some scrambled egg and such but they do not agree with my new tummy.  Sticking to soup, broth, protein shakes, and jello for now.  I can take two swallows of water or 3 bites before I get "the pain". Good luck!

Yeah, it's normal. After the 2nd week you shoud be a lot better. If it's a burning feeling you may need a PPI if you're not already on one.

I am so glad you posted this.. because I to get this same pain.. but not always when swallowing.. sometimes its 10 to 15 seconds after swallowing.. and then sometimes I just get it.. I attribute it to sometimes gas.. and sometimes not? because it seems if I put my hand on my stomach where that pain feeling is and put a little pressure on it it stops.. so thats why I think it could be gas when I am not swallowing anything?  doesnt happen with every swallow.. but wow sounds like the same thing to me.
