Hey, I know that I will ask my doctor but thought i would ask here too.  I am going on a cruise in the beginning of September and was wondering if anyone has taken bomine or dramamine post op for motion sickness? I have gone on 8 cruises before and have always relyed on taking motion sickness pills because i do get sea sick with smaller boats, and just never allowed myself to get sick on a cruise.... the old saying its better safe than sorry.  I always took a one a day pill for this, but was wondering if the doses would be different, and how that would affect my new stomache.  Anyone have any issues with this before?  Thanks everyone!

I am soo excited to go on vacation with my weight loss, but definitely dont want any motion sickness ruining any fun i plan on having...

Scopolomine patch - put it on behind your ear and forget about it.  I'm like you - the big boats don't bother me, but the small ones do.  The patch does wonders and doesn't make me sleepy.

I haven't used one since surgery, but it was prescribed for me for surgery to help avoid nausea.  And it didn't have any nausea, so I suppose it worked!

You need a script, but your doc should be willing to call it in without a hassle.

I used bonine a few weeks ago on a whale watch trip.  It really worked, but if I were going on a cruise, I'd go with the patch.

You can get pressure point braclets that releave motion sickness.  They are called SeaBands.  You can get them at W ****** t in the pharmacy section near the other motion sick medicine.

Before surgery when using motion sickness meds, they only worked on me because they knocked my butt out!  The braclets work really great for me.

The less drowsy Dramamine and Bonine are the exact same thing.  I used Bonine once and I guess it worked...did make me less drowsy that the regular Dramamine.
